How bout the Detective van!

File association should not cause a problem, just because you associate the TGA file with a certain editor does not mean it cannot be interpreted by other ones. What is probrably wrong is that either the map is not saved properly (some program's default settings are not what they need to be and some honestly can't make a map that EM4 can read). I had a total of 4 paint programs to work on maps, in the end only one could actually save the tga in a way that emergency could read them properly without ruining the tga. I have no idea when you import it if you are overwriting an existing file for example, that may be causing a crash, there are so many places where you can go wrong so without all the things you've tried I am not really sure what is going on. If the size is right it should not be crashing the editor even if the TGA is not the proper resolution or attributes, in those instances it fails to load correctly (looks wrecked but loads).

Hi, welcome to the forums, now on to what I have to do, at the bottom of each of your posts you will find an EDIT button, this allows you to change your post without having to put another one down, as a rule if your post is the latest one in line, just edit it rather than adding a new post. Also please do not use caps when writing, it is the equivalent to screaming to most people and generally annoys many people so instead try to type either in lower case or proper english. When dealing with a stolen car for example you can either use a spike strip to stop someone or use a police helicopter to "follow" the target, when they reach the target the suspect will get out and move out on foot. You will have to use a patrol car or cops in the helicopter to proceed after the suspect once he is on foot, then arrest him and put him in the car. You would have to be more specific on the bomb squad truck problem because I really do not understand what problem you are having.

Ancient rome is better. Just picture the colluseum still standing in it's full glory. -
Torrent Sites are ILLEGAL content, it's called pirated software. A nice way to violate the license agreement and copyrights, not to mention not appreciated around here either.

I have always used squared maps, but they MUST be divided by 512 I believe, so if you want to take the time to try, use a 512X 1024 and see if it crashes, I think they have to be squared but I've never tried anything different.

Since everyone seems too dense to get it WE WILL ADD IT LATER, the more ya'll ask for it is not going to make it appear any faster! We were hoping for an LAPD strictly because of the fact that LA County is rare in the mod vs. LAPD which is everywhere in the mod, for asthetics alone we figured it would look better having an LAPD transport. It has nothing to do with anything else other than that alone... Move onto another request, we get the point you want a van to move prisoners, but we are not adding it to 1.6 it is as simple as that. :1046275873_shakehead:

Read the posts please for the love of god! I already mentioned a prisoner van would not make 1.6 since it is not a priority, as well as the fact we already know one exists for the LA County Sheriff's Office! We were looking for one from the LAPD but could not find one, Mike's Photos already found a prisoner transport which is just like the one everyone else is pointing out! On a side note, do not try to link directly to a fortunecities photo, unless you have the cookies to the picture you won't see it, so there is no reason to do it.
-
I wish people would read the whole topic prior to posting a reply to a post without reading through the whole thing...... We were looking for an LAPD one but could not find it.
-
And this topic shall join yours there since it has NOTHING to do with the LA mod anyway, I just did not feel like moving it prior to being forced to...
-
I agree, in the least if you are goin to steal someone else's work as a base, either credit them or in the least have the decency to remove their things when adding yours! I made a mod setup just like Hoppah's without having to use his as a base, it is not that hard to do... Try to do it yourself for a change :1046275873_shakehead:

Start building a bridge first thing, ironically on most the missions you should start building the bridges first, with its slow rate you kinda need it doing it's thing while you are cleaning up the opposite side... Hopefully by the time the bridge is completed you will be done everything on the side you can access, anywhere you see an exposed injured person that is inaccessable send over a medivac to keep em alive, if there is only one in the open go ahead an medivac them. If you manage to get the bridge completed and clean up the cars fairly quick everything is smooth sailing. Just remember to keep the crane if I remember right you will need it on the other side.

The FBI Tahoe is a 2007 Tahoe, one which I personally have not seen in service yet, chances are they have not gotten them yet. The vehicle you described in the link is from a Fleet Service Vehicle Dealer, they prep the vehicles for service in various places, typically not just federal agencies. That vehicle is a Chevrolet Suburban, while they are commonly used in the Federal Government agencies, there is no rule that says because one fleet dealer says they supply agencies that they all must use them. The US Gov. buys things from all over the place, while I myself have not seen a 2007-8 Tahoe, I have not seen a new Suburban yet either so I have no idea if or when they will pick them up. The FBI Tahoe in the game was done along the lines of a what if? type of deal since nobody anywhere has produced a definitive FBI truck yet that is 2007 we had to speculate at best if they used the Tahoe what it may look like. The Suburban you linked to looks more like it is a DPS or Secret Service Motorcade Detail Setup by what all it is carrying in it and it's lighting setup and equiptment loadout. Good find none the less, but unfortunately in the Federal agencies the unmarked units do not typically carry banners that say "I AM FBI" or "I AM DHS", in the end without grilling the operators chances are without some knowledge of who's where you can't tell who owns what vehicle...

I wish I could, unfortunately he won't meet my conditions and give me a castle with a dungeon so I can continue my noble work. The only non-bus prisoner transport I have seen was today after I made this post, it belongs to the LA CO Sheriff's Department (thnx to Mikesphotos for showing me the pictures of the vehicle). However, the Van in question is not going to be in 1.6, there are already enough things added at this time and the van is not exactly a critical update to add to the game yet so it may get done in a later version.

That was a warning bayonetting... I have the rack standing by, followed by a light day at the gallows. It's a vacation package offered to our prefered clients
-
The Judge is about to get executed and the LA MOD is going to become a dictatorship ya keep it up
-
Judge Hoppah found it guilty, I am the executioner so I put it to death by hanging... So it shall never be seen or heard from again. :1046275747_biggthumpup: I have still yet to see any valid smaller vehicle that would serve as a paddy wagon on prisoner transport vehicle.

I wish I understood what you are trying to say...

The problem with most suggestions is that there are not enough photographs available for people who are not from the area to figure out what is on primarilly fire engines and ambulances, police cars generally speaking are readilly available for most major cities. -

Perhaps your right, hopefully others will show the desire to make mods themselves rather than asking the small hand full who do to pick up even more workload than they have. :1046275747_biggthumpup: -
The way that emergency handles lights whether or not we can totally simulate the effect given by a rotator remains to be seen, if one were willing to be excessive with the lights I am sure it probrably could follow the rotators around but then maybe 10 computers in the world could handle the lighting effect... You can, however simulate the effect given by rotators with minimal effort, I did not really even try to tamper with the lighting much I just wanted to see how the visibility was of the bar it's self and test the animation and it's script. The rest of the system would depend on your ability to apply realistic lighting to the animation which is not exactly an easy task with the RPM which they would rotate. However I suppose you could make it rather realistic if you put in alotta time.
-
The way we have it currently setup is that when the flashing lights are on the animation for the rotators is active, when the flashing lights are out the rotators stop. This is scripted so it may be altered, but something like the traffic advisors or flashers that are marked as special lights should work fine as the script is. With regards to a video, maybe Hoppah feels like handling that end, I do not feel like trying to make a video showing off the animation of the lil rotators twirling.
-
I am working on maps for this game, the base texture takes FOREVER by it's self let alone placing the events, the buildings, and in the LA mod's case, repairing all those scripts.... That would be months of work by it's self to do well and no update before or after it.
-
The only problem I have seen about it is without the camera hack you can see the bar tint and the interior of the bar but the animation is barely visible, since the LA MOD is not designed for the cam hack whether or not the animtations are worthwhile is the only area of debate... Yes you can see em if you look for them, but otherwise you probrably would not even know they were there. See Below for Camera Hack Images:
