yep, I think we need one of those mobile cranes with 10-20 axles, just so that I can set the record for the most axles piled onto this game.

You know, we know the uses of a vehicle, that is not an issue, finding a legitimate purpose to make the thing in the first place is what we do. We do not wish to waste our time creating things just because they are cool or serve purposes that are exactly the same as existing things, or add nothing really interesting into the game. The heavy rescue, in honesty was added to test the capability of the function, since as you can tell people are having problems with it (which we figured was going to happen) we don't pursue things that are that complicated. Not everyone here has great connections and great computers so we can't sit here and make rediculously complicated things left and right without ruining the modification for everyone other than the few that have the computers to run it well. Our goal is to keep this mod as friendly as possible to ALL users, so we choose things very specificially after weighing in on many different factors, factors most of these suggestions will never take into account, and you know what? That's fine, but don't assume that we can't think of things you guys do, occasionally someone comes up with a new idea that might actually add to the mod something interesting but most the time all it would add is a ton of headaches to the game that would pobrably cause 80% of the people to spend alot of quality time in Tech Support or Bug Reporting things that we can't fix without removing the vehicles/persons in question. Love it or leave it there is only so much we can do to this game and that limit is getting to be set in stone, due to many different factors. We already planned several missions but at this time we don't have that kind of time to pursue them, so we're doing the best we can to focus on what we feel is a priority. I am not trying to be rude or mean here, I am just trying to explain why we can't do half of what ya'll want.

To settle the lifeguard thing, we'll just pave the beaches in the next version, that'll do it nicely I think. The engines to me are personally easilly distinguishable as it is, their models are not exactly the same anyway. New engines look practically the same as the old ones from those mikesphotos has shown me, there is not enough of a difference between the ones in the mod and the brand new ones unless you look extremely closely, so I don't think it is worth the time to make a new model for that purpose. It is just my opinion, anyway.

Yep. If your friend does not have the exact same mod files as you do, you can't play with them. This is how the game protects it's self from "hacking" and stupid things like that, and more likely than not to prevent crashes because the host can't do what you can for example. Either give him the files you changed, or have him change them to match yours. That is the only solution.

If you manually enter the camera hack information it doesnt effect anything NFK, chances are your friend has something different done to his version of the mod than you do, the MOD FILES must match 100% in order to play together. I have played games many times when I had the camhack and they did not, doesnt matter if that particular thing is there or not. Chances are his buddy tampered with one of the xml documents and/or is running a sub mod.

We will check into this one in MP, the heavy rescue thing I think was a glitch from lag, but we'll double theck it anyway. The reason your quotes go underneath is my personal preference, nothing more.... Permits those who have no clue what I am writing to respond to, to have an easier time of seeing it without scanning the post while those that already can take the hint of what I am speaking about already have the clue and can just get to reading what I have to say. Merely my personal preference, nothng more, nothing less The Swat thing is slow to begin with sometimes, that is the problem with these types of scripts, they rely on everything being permitted to run as they are supposed to in order to work, if you interfere you can easilly abruptly terminate the script or change the "rule" that is associated with it and cause it to stop. I played one MP game where I had that heavy rescue all over the place all 3 hrs long (never returned it to base till the end and I am pretty sure it did NOT do what you guys complain it did).

From what I know about all the SMART cars, they are currently being used more or less as prototypical cars, aside from that unless you are describing a different type of SMART car than I am familiar with, I do not know what use it would have in the mod..... I built the Harley, and I won't be making a new type of motorcycle anytime soon, that one took quite enough time and effort to do, the Harleys are still in use throughout the USA, which is why I did that particular motorcycle, aside from that at the time it was the one that Mikesphotos Supplied Pictures For.

They are traffic cars, you will see the limosine parked around the map sometimes, and the sedan drives through town randomly. One of the limos should be in the missions now, but they are nt usable by the player.

With a rotator light the reflector adds a sort of "beam" effect when looking horizontally at the lights, the light is only reflected in more or less a V shaped path across the ground, not unlike headlights on a car. To do this in any mod would kill 90% of the people's computers so I don't think it is practically possible to do to any mod really since you would need multiple rotating points displayed on the ground instead of from the corona. Maybe that makes you understand what I think he means better? As to the Submod People, let me know in a PM when this supports 1.8 I will update your topic information for you if you can't.

Technically speaking they are large enough on the texture file they are on that you could put them on a flagpole in the game and get away with it:) That is why they are as clear as they are, if you zoom in close on them you can see them pretty well, the Marine Corps one is the only one that is a bit blurred:(

I've said this somewhere else, make the log-file Read-Only under properties, it usually helps stop that. This has happened to me for a while now, it has something to do with memory being wasted writing to the logfile instead of being used for your multiplayer game. We had to do this as well to test the 1.8 functionalities online, otherwise we had a ton of CTD's.

Tell it on the mountain brotha! You are exactly right, and to change one of the bases into that vehicle would not take very long at all. MikesPhotos has petitioned for the Crew Bus as well, Not too sure if it will happen or not, it would either be one OR the other, probrably not both given the fact that in the end they would function basically the same.

Game Glitch, try to replicate it before ya call in a bug please, if you can't manage to make the same thing happen twice in a row before you call it a bug, please don't call it a bug. Chances are this is due to either a game glitch or lag. I know how the prototype works and IF you lagged at the time the script for it was running it never finished....

One should never make the designer of his work second guess himself. The one in the middle Flies the MC flag because well, I like the MC flag better than the ARMY one! I know Hoppah's mission had a general in it from the Army, but I like the MC flag better thus, it got put on that car. That Particular model of limosine is extremely rare, I have only seen one of them before in my life, the far more common one is the standard looking Diplomatic Limo which is flying Dutch's flag. Do not let it's "normal" appearance fool you, it is extremely well armored, but given Hoppah's mission, I figured he would want something a bit more intimidating, so I made the rare but cool APC limo too. The USA-1 (aka POTUS Limo) has the Seal of the President of the United States of America, not the army flag.... Besides they are setup to where I could put your picture on the flag in 20 seconds if I wanted to:)

There were a ton of minor tweaks to 1.8 so make most of the "bugs" found are not technically bugs, the only one i've seen that might actually be true (have not tried myself) is the mission patch, it is possible that something was forgotten to make the vehicle available in the changes... If I can get around to it I will try to check into that one. The Heavy Rescue being backwards you will have to clarify what you mean by that NFK, we have tested that vehicle pretty thoroughly and at times it will DRIVE backwards when you try moving it in tight places like most of the chubby vehicles do, so I'd like more info before I can tell you whether or not that is a real bug or something about your computer. For the most part though it behaves just fine. There is one thing I am thinking of that made that vehicle functional that might not be cooperative on slower machines, but I am not sure of your details so I will leave it alone for now.

It's the same model van as the LASD Transpo Van I did, swap the bar, and repaint and boom the model crap is done, then it's just making a new prototype, dunno if we will be doing it though.. Have not even though about it.

This is not really a bug, it is how the scipt works, it sends the vehicle to open parking spaces, IF station one happens to be open I believe it will send the vehicle there sometimes, it has to do with the fact that the prototypes are exactly the same, there is no special prototype to differentiate. Heavy Rescue Crane IS available under Fire Equiptment. Mission-19 =Not our fault, that is a GAME bug with ladder apparatus, so you just have to try to get the vehicle in the right position to work, it sucks yes but that is not our fault, the original ladder does not behave well.

You are not, I know how to add to units, it's too time consuming and very difficult. Something I won't be doing either... Unfortunately both the people who know how hate it:( sorry

For personal use Hoppah does not mind you altering his creations, you just require his permission to release or distribute any alterations that are done. There is no general rule of thumb I can give since permissions are granted on a case-by-case basis, but you did a nice job on the ambulance:) You are permitted to show pictures of any work you do for your own use though, if you just want to show off your efforts to other members:)

To my knowledge, there are enough testers on the mod, bug fixing ironically takes more time than actually making things, you build a car for example and because of one minor glitch you can spend up to 30 minutes trying to undo that error if you missed it early on. The same deal applies to some bugs in the mod in general. Testing involves a great deal of patience, you really rarely play the game, most of it is just trying all the features over and over again to see that they work together fine, then if you have a problem you have to try over and over to try to replicate it. It is definately not the most entertaining part of modding, the game has so many glitches to begin with you have to separate those issues from ones that are caused by what the mod has done. Overall though I think it's getting there. There are plenty of Mods here now, we sometimes step on one another's toes as it is:) We all tend to cover when some of us are missing, I am not aware of a single time when everyone of the Staff has been gone at once for a long time.

The Update for the mod is that it is basically in testing phase at this time, we can't really say much more than that, bug hunting can take some time and since we've all went on vacation you guys just have to be patient and wait for us to return. We all just really needed a break from the same things:) Already I have to do moderator tasks once again which is why I took the vacation in the first place.... This is why I wonder sometimes why we even try. Happy Holidays...

Run it as an administrator, right click on it and under properties, under compatibility tab, check run as a administrator.

Clear your temporary internet files, delete the copy of the download you downloaded, occasionally, especially if you have an unreliable connection will randomly complete the file when it is not nearly complete, read the file size prior to selecting your save location I believe it is 186 MB, sometimes it will only download part of that and claim it was successful, obvously it is not if it is not 186mb. Try and try again, even my high-speed connection I occasionally have this happen, usually when you are doing too much and using excessive bandwidth. Thank you for the appreciation, it means alot to me:) I wish I could do scripting so I could figure some of the more complicated ones out but I fail constantly, so that's hoopers job. I figure this is easier for people who are trying to learn the ropes of hamachi: I have created a bs service that I will have disabled whenever I don't feel like being a helpdesk to be honest. ****Server Removed**** I will use this merely to teach you how to use hamachi at my convenience, sometimes, if not most the time the network will be unavailable, those who learn from me will be expected to share unto others how it works.
