  1. I think somebody here asked about Richmond RCMP CVPI, Todd is still working on it but here's a WIP clip from him - the lightbar is still under construction, as he's shifting patterns around for the best result. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fX7Ytg6PbQ
  2. The Alberta Sheriffs first started out doing Courts protective services, transport prisoners, and jail. Now they've grown into a full scale Traffic enforcement branch. I have a cousin who is with the Alberta Sheriffs traffic unit, said that the majority of the RCMP members in Alberta transferred into the Sheriffs within the past few years because of better benefits, technology and jurisdiction enforcements. I can see BC Sheriffs doing traffic enforcement once the BC RCMP contract expires. It's starting to become obvious that they are following the footsteps of Alberta Sheriffs.
  3. It usually takes around 1-3 days to finish a CVPI light job. 3-7 days for a large sized body like fire trucks. 300-600 poly can be made for one vehicle. It all depends on how many lights does it require and how the detailing needs to be presented.
  4. I'm just curious, Does having realistic, authentic lights affect your gameplay performance positively because the presence motivates you to play your role in-game realistically as if was a real life situation? Does it give you a thrill of excitement because it almost looks real at night? Do you feel stastified with the light jobs that we have made, because they look nearly identical to the actual LED lights that you would see on your hometown emergency services fleet? For research, give us your input on this.
  5. Steve, Goog967 recently have had made the City of North Vancouver Fire Engine, as well a single N.V.P.D cruiser to the fleet. Also he just finished up an awesome looking BC sheriffs Paddy Wagon and a ford police interceptor unit. He will post a pic or video sometimes later on tonight.
  6. I'm just curious, AMR, is why you have started a modification when you have no experience in basic areas such as skinning or lighting. I think it's great that you're motivated by the idea of yours, but in all honesty you're just digging yourself a deeper hole and the only way to get out of it is to learn the ropes. Do you have a certain skill that you believe it can be contributed and benefitional for your modification if you want a team of skinners, modelers, etc.? Good luck regardless.
  7. Did you head that, Gunswat? It's the sound of thunderous hoofs bellowing in the distance drawing closer. I think it's time for me and goog1967 to leave you alone. *looks up to the sky* beam us up Scotty ! *poof*
  8. Not completed like six others. See the pattern? No pictures - nothing done. Don't expect anyone to wait around long enough If you're not willing to show proof that you are indeed working on it. Otherwise you're just about to get sic'ed on by the Elite echelon of Emergency-Planet.
  9. I'm officially done with the Internet for the day. You got me good.
  10. @ Ausavin - If I remember correctly a few months ago Todd posted two photos of Surrey Google map and on it had a zone layout indicating the area that we should base the map on, along with other possible route markers. It was agreeded upon that the map zones will have a break down of : 20 % Residentional, 10 % industrial, 30 % commercial ( downtown), 25 % Parks and recreational ( beach, park and creeks surrounded by forrestry landmarks) and lastly 25 % of highways and Rual roads. That's the plan at least...
  11. No missions like the LA mod if that is what you're talking about. Just 911 calls with different kinds of ramifications and scenario difficulties for each of the emergency services branch. It's probable that the map will be designed for multiplayer like the Manhattan mod, but I'm pretty sure that it'll work for offline freeplay mode, not too sure. Teamwork is vital to handle the calls though. Its still premature to say what the map will consists of.
  12. Talk about rocket science! You did awesome on the general duty, Buddy.
  13. *cough* You and Dyson should join the RCMP mod team *cough*
  14. Nobody have asked for the release date of the NYC modification in this thread, so therefore you are inadvertly promoting their mod. I don't see anyone posting stuff in regards to the RCMP mod on the NYC thread. Please respect that. @Slayer - Emergency 2012 is not modifiable or editable. Doesn't have the Editor as well, so therefore Emegency 4 is the best for the kind of platform we're making.
  15. Are you talking about LEDs mounted on the pushbar? If so, we have added them on te majority of the police units. Some will just have two forward LEDs, while others will have both forward AND side mounted LEDs. I think two, if not three different units will have side wheel bumper LEDs as aforementioned. Here are some videos to show you what we did
  16. Cannot wait to see your creations. Good luck.
  17. Tell me what you think you know. humor me. Don't you have like six other mods to work on?
  18. Umm how are you going to make a sub mod based on the LA emergency services if you don't know any concrete legitimate facts to build a authentic fleet beforehand? Its the author's responsibility to research on what is needed to get things done, and without resorting to ask others on the forum for basic material facts. You're doing it blindly and it's setting you up for failure. My advice is do some research before you decide to embark a really challenging phase.
  19. CB Radio/GPS discs. Same thing like car antenna sticks but in a different form, specifically for Emergency First Responders technology.
  20. A supervisor will be able to request any kind of resources, whereas constables will be given limited resources. Your supervisor can also act as a hostage negotiator if your ERT crew hasn't arrive on scene yet.
  21. ^^^ In-case if anybody is wondering after watching the videos, yes we made a identical ghost unit of the first video. We also have a similar unit made, but it is a supervisor slicktop and it pretty much has the same package except for the visor LED. You can check it out on my YouTube playlist, it's at 0:38 -
  22. Especially on highways. That is why most of the RCMP newer fleets have been equipped with 360 exterior and interior LED products for the best visibility and weather resistant. They even switched out the workhorse corner strobes with LED hide-a-ways. It's crazy.
  23. Nothing unrealistic about the lights, Dyson. They all are in fact based on actual light packages layout. The videos that you attached had been done already. No offense but maybe You're just not really used to see such thing in real life. Western Canada usually has over-board lighting for most agencies, And for the PC performance of others? Well, not our problem we're going for as real as it can be benchmark. The LAPD recently unvield their newest patrol vehicle. Lots and lots of lights, more than the LAPD have used prior. Check it out sometimes, Dyson. Take care. Good job Todd.
