Are you in EMS?
mercurygrandmarquis1 replied to medicnick83's topic in Emergency and Rescue services
are you from upstate? Here in the city Advanced EMTs aren't recognized. and every 911 truck is either both EMTs or Both Medics. On the transport side you generally have Medic/EMT crews. As an EMT practicing in the city blood glucose and pulse oxs are not in our protocol (Despite that they should be and some crews carrying them anyway.) Can you guys give narcan up there? It was just approved for us. -
The law your referring to is called the move over law. And it looks like the VSP car has dual leds on the deck possibly broken

It worked, thanks -
Had this issue for the past couple of weeks. No clue what it is but it crashes about 10 seconds after I start the game. C/P'd my log file so hopefully someone can help me fix this issue

What is the TEC Engineer and vehicle going to look like? and everyone knows you cant have a car chase in midtown manhattan theres way too much traffic. (although a chase command will make the gameplay work alot better)

I have a few notes for Dyson and Rafael mostly regarding NYPD vehicles Unmarked Vehicle lighting packages Unmarked cars are typically equipped with basic lighting packages either a Reg/White LED light above the mirror or the passenger visor Older cars will have a red halogen light on the dashboard, Wig Wags or strobes in the headlights and tail lights. Deck lights were used on all crown vics from 1998-2011, Impalas were rarely equipped with deck lights until 2008 when there were equipped with red and blue deck lights. NYPD use of blue lights Blue lights were approved for police use in NYS in 2006 and the NYPD adapted them in 2007 for highway patrol and 2008 for all units. Starting in 2010/2011 Older RMP's that were sent to the shops were equipped with blue lights located in the outer 2 pods of the vision light bar. NYPD Unmarked Vehicles The NYPD uses several types of unmarked vehicles including Crown Vics, Impalas, Fusions, Altimas and Tauruses for Patrol and detective units. They are mostly dark colors but the occasional silver and tan cars are found. The NYPD does not use white unmarked cars. NYPD Vehicle Numbering Plan Here is how vehicles are assigned a number. Starting in 2008 vehicles received smaller numbers indicating the last 2 digits of the year of the vehicle #1000 Series - RMP's and some Prisoner transport vehicles #2000 Series - RMP's #2800/2900 Series - Highway Patrol Vehicles #3000 Series - RMP's and Heavy Duty Trucks #4000 Series - RMP's #5000 Series - Hybrids and pre 2009 Vans and SUV's / New Highway Patrol RMP's #6000 Series - School Safety Vehicles #7000 Series - Traffic Vehicles #7800 Series - Auxiliary Police Vehicles #8000 Series - 2009 and Up SUV's and Vans #9000 Series - All Housing Vehicles #AP000 Series - Older Blue Auxiliary Police Vehicles NYPD impala decklights the NYPD started equipping there marked impalas with Red and Blue deck lights starting in 2008. There have never been Red and White Deck lights on any NYPD impalas

are there going to be any more eye candy units? (New units that have no new functions)

PD and FD got LEDs about the same time, 2003/2004. You didnt see it with FD as much because there vehicle replacement schedule is much different. then PD. FD typically gets 10 to 12 years out of there rigs. In PD if a marked car manages to make it 5 years then thats miraculous. (Unmarked cars are a different story they typically last 6/7 years)

Another Realism thing that you might want to know about is in FS2. EMS is separate from fire and the EMS Conditions boss (The guy in the EMS SUV) would never be quartered in a regular run of the mill fire house. so you might want to move him to the hospital and set up an EMS station there, Even if it is just a door on the side of the hospital that has the FDNY or HHC Logo on it (Thats typically what they are in Real life). My suggestion for the extra bay in FS2 would be to put a foam unit or satellite unit there.

Radio Motor Patrol

Im pretty sure its only the 412's.

In NYC the most likely agency to do a medevac would be the NYPD. A few of there Helicopters are certified as air ambulances
-
If you dont mind i have a few suggestions that would improve Realism and Gameplay 1. Add the traffic bar to all the NYPD RMP's 2. Adding the Return to Station Command To Highway RMP's and the Prison Van 3. Removing the Guns and Handcuffs from the Traffic Cops and Giving them Light Blue Shirts 4. Giving the Patrol Command to the EMS SUV and REP 5. Unmarked NYPD Cars 6. Police Supervisor with the ability to call Mobilizations,ESU, ECT. 7. Turning the NYPD Explorer to a Supervisors RMP (Regular Officers never get Explorers) BTW if you need voice acting i have a NY Accent

older officers who were on the job before 1993 can still carry .38s your wrong. i dont know where your getting your information from but in 1975 most to all police departments in the united states used revolvers. infact the NYPD used the S&W Model 10 from 1896 to 1987 then they switched to the model 64 and used that until 1993
-
yeah i know about them what do you need to know?
-
this is actually pretty cool because i live on staten island and i know alot about police/fire/ems here so if you want i can be your advisor for this

How to build a ghetto step one: find a bunch of poor people step two: move them all together step three: add drug/gun dealers step four: add low rent strip mall that has a chinese food place and a deli that sells loose ciggerates step five: add substandard housing and now you have your very own bad neighborhood And if you want your bad neighborhood to grow fast ignore it. thats right dont send any cop/emt/firman there to encourage growth note to mods: this was a joke based off what i see in nyc everyday
