a quick 5 second search found this... After you unpack it from the editor, you need to change it back to the original .dds name. This is a outline tutorial of what you need to do pretty much. Unlock DDS Files required for vehicle. Find DDS file in models folder Rename file to something else and change extension from dds to v3o Extension change allows editor to unpack file to make readable for programs. Ex: cv_chp.dds to cv_chpt.v3o Open the editor. Load mod Select Unpack File and navigate to models folder Find the renamed DDS and press ok. This will unpack the file for editing. Ex: cv_chpt.v3o Rename v3o back to DDS This will allow vehicle model to recognize texture Rename it back to original name Ex: cv_chp.dds Import to photoshop Convert / save image to whatever format Alter it as necessary Convert back to DDS Take texture and turn back into DDS file for the model file. Use DDS converter All DDS files in folder All dds files you changed are in folder where they belong. Load editor and see newly skinned vehicle there.

In some countries we call certain things differently,so to clarify...we're talking about snow removal of the streets so when you said have you made a bulldozer, well that's what I thought would be strange to use for that purpose.Surrey is a modern city that has a relatively flat geography so a landslide is just not a realistic option. If we had that we could maybe do a downed tree on the road accident or the snow banks ect...oh the possibilities. this is a bulldozer in North America:this would kill the road this is a front end loader:this would be the choice for heavy snow removal

We'll have plows driving around randomly with traffic simulating snow clearing,we figured this out some time ago where the truck has a snow spray exiting the far side of the plow...it looked pretty real. Maybe even have a need to plow a snow bank or something similar to get access to an emergency...we'll see.

First step is to read the tutorials...after that,if you have any questions, then ask.

Thought of the day... I will not work any faster no matter how many times you say "Gosh" or "Geeze" or even if you hold your breath and throw a temper tantrum. We're not like Rockstar Games where we all work 24/7 round the clock on this game, this is done in our spare time when our other lives permit that we may spend time on it.(last time I checked It's still not a paid JOB!!) EDIT: look at the posts that are above and below yours,it's great to have TRUE fans like that ,which I'm glad to say that most if not all of our followers are.

Kind of rude and selfish man, first of all,he may prefer the Boston services and there is no way for his city to be represented in the game unless he makes skins...Secondly ,all people that mod a game can't model or script so they choose a reskin project. The replay value of this game would get old very quickly without people modding them and sharing their work,.You should be gratefull that people actually make stuff for (some) of you to play!

Gotham city sub modification (WIP) !NEW UPDATE FIRST POST!
goog replied to met police999's topic in Mods
looks good met police!!! but if I may offer a slight observation...the blue on the police cars is the wrong blue,it should be a darker navy blue like in the first link in Agent Smith's post. -
nothing anywhere about this...only what the previous poster had posted. A unique feature on the apparatus of the CFD is the green emergency light that is typically found on the right front of the apparatus, in addition to the red light on the left front. This tradition dates back to the 1930s when Fire Commissioner Goodrich, whose family operated Goodrich Transit Company, adopted the port and starboard maritime light scheme for all apparatus and firehouses. Another tradition associated with the CFD is the black over red color scheme of the fire apparatus. The choice of this paint design is attributed to an order of Ford Model A cars purchased in the late twenties, to be used as Battalion Chief "Buggies". The factory rain canopies on the cars came coated in tar, which would not allow paint to stick. CFD personnel liked the black over red look and adopted it for all of their apparatus.

I will model the grill and it will give it more depth than just the picture of the grill, that will improve the looks.Mine is a 1998,I think I got the Surrey and North Vancouver rigs mixed up...both will be included but the latter will be more modern in lighting. EDIT-the whole grill with sides is modeled with depth now and looks good at all angles now.I also used a better picture, not as dark.
