Hello guys! I uploaded a fix for the trafficlight-bug that works fine on my computer. You can download it here. This might or might not fix your problems, all I know is that this works for me! As always, read the readme and remember to back up your files! The trafficlight-bug is that the traffic lights cycle is way too short. The lights turn back to red too fast and doesn't let any cars through. It causes severe traffic jams and makes the mod close to unplayable, for me at least. NOT EVERYONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM. The bug depends on your computers performance. Basically, the faster your computer is the worse this bug is. I got permission from mintcake, don't worry.

Yes, you have to manually edit it. You should check out Lamod's faq Edit: Gaah Marshall! You were a few seconds before me.

First, load the mod, secondly load the map by choosing "Map" in the toolbar. Load up the map called freeplay if that's what you want to edit.

Yeah there's only one that I know of, it is used for the police dog in Helsinki. Helsinki 476 is the unit id. There are however some new unmarked "liikkuvapoliisi" (road police) volvo V50's but this too is rare.

This might cause problems, so backup the Em4.cfg first! The Em4.cfg is found in the main game directory. Open it with notepad and find and edit the lines <var name="r_xres" value="1024" /> <var name="r_yres" value="768" /> to whatever you'd like. Save.

They say that you shouldn't ever discuss politics or religion if you don't want a fight. I agree, this thread could get nasty really fast. Hopefully, it wont. I have though about the whole heaven-thing earlier and this is my personal opinion. I don't believe in heaven. When it's over it really is over. However, I strongly believe in the theory (i read somewhere) that you are more stable mentally if you believe in something, especially life after death. For the human race it is extremely important to believe in a life after death instead of endless nothingness. If you don't believe in life after death and you start thinking about these questions you could easily get unstable and depressed. It's quite obvious why; we don't want to die and we are afraid of death. Religion and life after death is a way to go around that problem of endless nothingness and therefore avoid a lot of stress. The human mind doesn't want to find out that it isn't true and our subconsciousness might work against us (but it might be a good thing). The human mind is incredibly good in seeing things it wants to see, and people that are strongly religious may see weird stuff, "proof of god", and really believe in it. I believe that this guy Dr. Eben Alexander saw heaven and everything he says he did, but I think that's more of a dream. Only time will tell wether there is a life after this or not.

I'd like to have "fog of war". Fog of war is what you find in war strategy games and it means that you can't see what's going on if you haven't got any of your own units there. The callouts could also be more interesting with fog of war. Let's say that there is a 911 call that says that there's a garbage container on fire but when you arrive at scene you see that there actually is a whole house on fire. Or a call that someone can smell smoke and when you arrive you have to search for the smoke and you finally find a tree on fire. There could also pop in more information when you're on your way (simulating a second person that called). The patrolling police cars could also spot something weird and report to you who may decide to intercept or not. Oh and just think about the robberies and the pick pocketing when you can't see what's happend. You can't send someone after the guy if you can't see him so you'll have to race to the scene of crime and then your police vehicles could automatically spot and alert you of someone if they see someone that looks like the guy that committed the crime (he could or could not be the actual criminal). I would also like to have delayed dispatch that means that the vehicles have a delay before appearing. This would add much realism.

Strange indeed. Try the usual, reinstall any video drivers, reinstall the game (You did that already ), check that any display driver settings (Like Nvidia Control Panel) are on default.

You'll have to put the coronas that came with the mod ("corona5_orange.tga" & "corona5_red.tga") into the correct folder. Go to your game folder, wherever it is (default: c:\\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\emergency 4). Go to the data\textures\coronas and copy-paste the downloaded coronas there.

This is interesting. This is an article about the 2012 deluxe, doesn't seem very different to me. http://e2012.deepsilver.com/news/news/article/106/index.html However, remember Estevan89's information. Time will tell but I don't think that there's only a deluxe version coming. I believe a new game to be announced and hopefully it'll succeed where em2012 failed.
