Amazing mod and love it. A few bugs / findings to report so far: A couple of events spawn and have a "location" but nothing seems to spawn or happen for them: Missing person Powerline down When you call for backup of vehicles set on standby. Their lights and sirens turn on, but doesn't actually make them move to the location. Calling a BCSO sheriff unit sometimes fails when one is at the city hall. It appears this happens when: the officers have been clicked on before (even if nothing else is done with them) the officers have the traffic vest or tactical vest equipped. but this has also happened to me when the explorer is at the city hall. Hazmat events doesn't seem to actually contaminate people or have a contamination cloud until the event is cleared. Other units can freely walk close and interact with the persons without contamination. Montana Highway police units don't have a "to HQ" command. On the car accident by the hospital with the car in the water, the crane can pickup the car before the diver has searched for the vehicle.

No worries at all! After loosing all the original mod files I had from a submod due to a hard drive corruption, it made me realise just how important cloud backups (or at least the 321 rule of key content) can be!

I applaud you for how quick hotfixes are coming out, so amazing work. BTW if you want to avoid a full download each time, have you tried using a git workflow like this? That would mean that only changed files get uploaded by you and downloaded by clients each time any change happens. It does however require people to use a manager such as github desktop, but if you're making big changes it can be a lot easier for you. (Happy to talk you through it if needed).

You need to install this in your data folder: https://www.moddb.com/mods/mayberry-mod-2014/addons/corona-update

This is something different, never thought I'd see a fireman sam mod! But great, fresh idea that'll be good to see http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

I'm not sure then. We had a multiplayer group going on this mod last night, and they all downloaded the wetransfer link (mirror 1) succesfully without crashes.

Hey FB. I'm uploading a mirror for the next 4 weeks to wetransfer with a working version. Please try this mirror below: mirror 1 (zipped, no git needed): https://we.tl/t-vcFM0lvKtQ let me know if there are any issues

looks smart!

The script for this is within the LAChangeClothes script in the Scripts/Game/Command folder http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

Have been able to reproduce by downloading the latest github master. Uploading a working zip to this site http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png EDIT: the download section is erroring each time I try to upload a file. If you can upload your logfile with the crash that'd be useful to diagnose.
-
I'll have a download of it from master tonight and see how it is.
-
I just downloaded and tested the latest version of master and it's working fine here. You can check your logfile to find out what's going on as it crashes doesn't help enough to diagnose if there's an issue.

The Westershire mod (WIP)
djchill replied to TACRfan's topic in Early Access/Alpha Stage Modifications
Safety officer getting stuck in with a hose line there too. -
Probably not, unless I look into how to create these. It's simple to install though, download a zip file by pressing the top right button on github, extract and copy into your emergency 4 mods folder http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

I feel your pain and totally get nobody responding whenever you try to reach out. I do also feel it a bit cynical for mods to be released and people not want others to build on what they've done. For me, that feels like a great honour that others want to extend the playability of your mod. So really, anything released should really be forced to be under an MIT licence allowing anyone to build upon and re-release. However, I personally find it pretty quick and easy to compile credits as I add things to mods.

I've been working on my own version of LA mod, with a few edits to suit my preferences more. These include mostly LED lightbar fixtures, heavy equipment squad replacing hazmat at fire station 2 and a few new units. Full changelog and release info on the public github repository for the modification, if you want to follow along with the mod's development: https://github.com/djchill1/Los_Angeles_Mod_v2.1_-_DJ note, there's a bug where downloading a zip of the mod from github causes in game crashes. But if you download git and clone the repository on your machine, it'll work. mirror 1 (zipped, no git needed): https://we.tl/t-vcFM0lvKtQ Hopefully releasing in this way should mean there's never an unavailable download link due to mega being down, and you can always experience the latest changes as they happen. Screenshots More will come soon! For more, check the "02 Screenshots" folder above. How to play If you have git installed on your device, you can constantly fetch the latest version of this mod. Otherwise you can download a zip of the entire modification from a mirror link below. If you download a zip file, extract it to your emergency 4 mods folder. main repository download at: https://github.com/djchill1/Los_Angeles_Mod_v2.1_-_DJ mirror 1 (zipped, no git needed): https://we.tl/t-vcFM0lvKtQ Reporting bugs and feature requests Please use the issues tab on github to request features and report bugs. Please select the right option for your request and use the issue format provided. This'll help speed up bug fixing!

BUG: Contaminated army firefighters (regular suit) and local emergency services cannot enter the hazmat tent to decontaminate.

I experience some serious FPS drops when moving the camera to the middle of the map (over the curving road) and when you press any firefighter's change clothing option whilst in a fire station. No idea why for the first one but for the second one the large amount of Fire fighter gear "stored" in the station, which I presume you can change clothing at, might be causing it. Also when the person behind the counter in the tesco petrol station gets injured, a medic can't get to him to heal him or a stretcher to take him away. I assumed that you were planning to release updates for the following reasons: The units don't have correct names or thumbnails in the dispatch screen (when you select them). Rather than say "St Johns Ambulance" It says "ID_NAME_......" for them all. It just makes the mod feel unfinished. I find some unit pathfinding issues at the bottom left corner of the map, fire engines would rather go off the edge of the map and re-appear further up that edge than take a road to get back to station/to a scene. Also, in my opinion it takes way to long to dispatch units from off the map, it makes the game a little slower paced than my liking. Nonetheless, a good mod though.

Thanks for your work guys and girls! Are you still planing to release patches and updates to the mod to make it even more awesome?

It might be a good idea to upload it to another file sharing website (such as 4shared or whatever you use), to use as a download mirror. I haven't seen a mod get download approved for quite some time. (So maybe PM stan?)
