-
Yea same here my game says it been updated to 1.1.1 but it still plays the same and theres no way they compressed that to 15mb so we got gipped here.....
-
It works! Thank you!

I've played through the whole campaign and the car does not unlock so im assuming it was not included it the game for whatever reason. I was very disappointed by this too i was looking forward to having 2 police cars and its been in every other game and they even showed it in media and even the background so why not include it??? Maybe someone can look through the editor and see if the files are still there, i looked but i couldn't find it. We should ask them to put in back into the game its not right to falsely advertise it being the game.

I would love to cut them some slack here but this was a pc exclusive so they really have no excuse for the performance issues of this game. They had it a lot easier than other developers and they couldn't even handle it.so unless they have super computers or didn't have the thought to test this on a variety of computers there is no excuse. I think they just didn't test this game enough or didnt have the time to because it was already behind schedule. Either way it's unacceptable and we as a community should take a stand against this trend of subpar pc game releases.

Unable to finish Flood due to crane bug
topfuzz replied to Daniel Danielsen's topic in Mission Related Support
Yea you have to restart the entire mission which kinda sucks but i dont think it took me that many times to pass it. You could get the cars out of the water first and just focus on that and then focus on everything else after. Just keep an eye on the crane and dont let it go over the rail or it will get stuck and you will have to restart the mission. -
oh yea i know what you are talking about but you did a really good job on the reflections. Ill just wait for the american version and shut my mouth. I also tried playing with the lights in the editor and its alot different from em 4 so im lost lol. But i give you props since youve managed to figure it out.

DUH! bahahaah Thank you!

I dont think the white lights look good they detract from the other lights.

Does the steam version include the editor? Sorry ive looked everywhere but i cant find it.....

You can get past the flood mission. Get all the other vehicles out of the water first than get the one in the middle that causes the crane to go into the water. Make sure the area is clear of everything and dont let the crane go over the guardrail or it will get stuck. It takes few times but you will get past it. As for the speed of the game i think its okay its not too hectic but your right you dont really have time to get really into one event. But em4 was the same way and i had to edit the files to make freeplay more enjoyable. So i hope there is a file we can edit for that here as well. On another note, ive played through the majority of the campaign and im impressed. The mission setup is different but i find it much more realistic than before. I think the missions are actually easier because they are more realistic and smaller scale. And i like the scoring system i think it makes it easier to pass a mission. I haven't really played freeplay but the events between missions are alot better than em4 but they can get mundane if your on the same map too long. I hope all the events are in freeplay so you get a variety. The only issue i have is the lack of the option to buy more units. As you progress through the campaign you get access to more units but i would like to buy more police cars and doctors and ambulances. Like you mentioned the game is fast paced and your running from event to event and you just dont have enough units to have any sort of roleplay.I would love to have police units at every accident but i only have 2 so it makes it hard.

Its working fine, but the lights do look kinda purple and the the lights on the rescue truck mess up its like half is your work and the other half is the original. Also, are you going to release a manual or guide on how to edit the lights? Thanks

Unable to finish Flood due to crane bug

I got this too but after a few times i was able to pass it. Get that car last and don't let the crane go over the guardrail. Dont give up just keep trying and you will get past that. -
Here are my specs I5 3570k 3.40 8gb Ram GTX 660 I have the same frame rate issues i have the steam version and i believe it installed a patch but i didnt see any change in performance. I just got to the hamburg map and i noticed a significant drop in performance and fire drops fps significantly. I reduced the resolution to 1280x1024 and that helped but im still only getting around 30fps. I really hope they release a patch soon....

Im really excited for this! And i would prefer a red/blue light combo for police and red for fire trucks, if you haven't all ready. Good luck and thank you!

I think the game is really great! They did a great job and im truly impressed. Even the stock game is fun and im actually going to play through it i love the graphics and lights and the realistic traffic behavior. I was surprised they even added pepper spray! They gave us police tape and a megaphone and from what i can tell some cars will redirect themselves. They have implemented alot of features that we requested but they cant add every single thing we want and thats up to the modding community to do. But this a big step up in my opinion and im really excited to see what the modding community comes up with. The only issue with the game i have as others do is the performance i meet the recommended specs and i can barely even get 30 fps and at times its unplayable. But that is to be expected with a new game and engine so lets be patient and hope they can patch the issues.

Im getting excited for this! Only a few more days
-
I meet everything but i have a 660 not the TI does that really matter?
-
I love that blue lightbar! And take your time i have plenty of other things to play with.
-
Looks promising i am disappointed they mentioned you could only make new maps and modify vehicles. I wonder what they mean by "modify".
-
That actually sounds perfect! I hope that makes it in the final product.

Now that i think about it 18gb does sound kinda large for this game. To put that in perspective, GTA IV was only about 13 gb on the PC. GTA V is only about 16gb on the PS3/360. Watchdogs is about 13 gb on the PC as well. Now GTA V on the PS4 is rumored to be about 50gb (If you can believe that). And for reference Emergency 4 deluxe edition was less than 2gb. So either that number is greatly inflated, or because of higher quality textures and larger maps the game will be much larger in size. To go from form less to 2gb to 18gb is hard to believe, but if thats true than Em 5 should be a vast improvement.

CPU: i5 3570k @3.40ghz GPU: Ndivia GeForce GTX 660 Sig 2 SOC RAM: 8 gb DDR3 Harddrive: 1 TB Lucky for me i got an upgrade about a year ago

Yea you are right in alot of ways GTA IV was a step backwards but they were working with an entirely new engine and new consoles so of course compromises had to be made. But you know i really didnt notice it ive always loved IV probably because i was just so amazed with the graphics but i do miss the larger map and GTA V really has the best of both games. Now with EM 5 they are working with a new engine but not really a new platform its still PC but just more advanced. So i really dont think they would have to compromise, but from what we have seen they kinda already have. The game looks great and you can tell the units are definitely higher quality but it doenst have that wow factor that say GTA V has. I definitely dont think it would be a downgrade from EM 4 but like you said the big mods here are comprehensive and have drastically changed and improved the gameplay of EM 4. But it doesnt look like the developers put any of that into the game. It looks like they made it easier to edit and add new vehicles and such but what about the scripts and the stations and all the complex stuff that goes into a large scale mod. I really wanted to just see more vehicles and advanced game play features, not just a 2014 graphics update.
