I think that he was asking if there would be fires that only can be extinguished by using the tower ladder or an aerial ladder. Fires that are on the 8th or 9th floors where a traditional deck gun would not reach, and that can't be put out without an aerial unit.

I have copied and pasted the folders to the 4x4 folder. I don't see any changes. Any ideas? -
I am assuming that there are going to be fireboats in this game. Will the two new ones, the 343 and the Firefighter II make it in?

The only thing that I would ask for in the future is an installer. That would allow us "computer challenged" guys to enjoy the mod as well. I would also like to see more interchangeable units at the stations. For instance, maybe having 4 ALS engines at station one. Or two tower ladders on the map instead of a tiller and a tower, or whatever. I don't like the Engine that's at station 2 from the 4x4 mod. I would put a regular ALS engine in that spot, and have a foam tender out back. Most of you guys can go in and change folders to set this up. I can't. Lord knows I have tried. It would be great to just be able to easily change out one unit for another. Send one to HQ, and put another similarly sized unit in its place. Other than that, I love the new units, the lights, etc. It's really a lot of fun. -
Thanks man. Yeah, I've seen that pic. It's from a while back, so I was wondering if anything had changed. I'm gonna go on record and say that too much traffic makes the game less fun. Also it would be cool if you could direct units coming from off the map to respond from a different direction. This would help get around some of the traffic issues.

Question. How bad will traffic be in this mod? Also will units be able to respond from more than one spawn point if they are coming from off the map?

Hy Dyson. Sounds great! Can't wait to try it out. Hey did anyone ever do the Seagrave Aerialscope for this submod? I know that you said that it might be included. I was wondering if it will make it into this version?

I am very optimistic about this mod. I just hope that you guys aren't building the hype up to be beyond something that you can deliver. I understand that you are a talented bunch of guys, and that if you say that it can be done, or put in the game, then it will. Just be prepared for a frenzy. There are a LOT of people who are expecting very big things out of this mod, all based upon what you guys are saying. I hope that you are prepared for that.

Hi guys. Don't take offense. A month or so ago, I had the feeling that this mod was really close to being released. I don't know why I felt that way, I just did. This thread was a lot more active, and there was a very good buzz about this mod. Things got quiet and I posted a question about maybe getting an update. FFW TUT replied with his answer about why we won't see a big update until you are ready to release your media package. Since then, this thread has gone really quiet. Also in that time, the NY Submod has been put on hold, and the QRA thread has also gone very quiet. I'm not going to say that I have given up on this mod, but it has lost a lot of its buzz for me. We are not trying to rush you. We certainly want the best mod that we can get. However, you can't blame anyone for feeling like we will never see this mod come to life. It has been two years since this mod was originally announced.............. I think that a simple street scenerio screen shot would go very far to boost the buzz for this mod. Perhaps with a couple of tower ladders, or maybe a sattelite in operation. However, it is not my mod. It is yours. You are choosing to release the information on your timetable. However, don't take offense when someone comes on here and states what we have all been thinking.

Hey guys, awesome mod! I'm really enjoying the changes. I am having an issue where I cannot change any of the original specs. I go into the correct folders and highlight the unit that needs to be changed, but I am unable to overwrite anything. Any ideas? -

I really hope that this Mod fixes the Tower Ladders. Very frustrated with the range of their deck guns. A pumper can shoot over a one story building and hit a fire, but a tower can't raise above that building and hit the same fire? UGH! Other than the Fireboat or the Sattelite, the Towers should have the most range.

Hi guys. I am looking to help out and start modding. Be advised that I am starting from the beginning. I mean the very beginning. Can anyone point me to a program or a forum or whatever where I can learn How to start? I don't do anything computer related. So I need to get the very basics down before I can move on. Where do I go to learn this stuff? Thanks!
