Not to be rude, but as you said you can buy a mac and put windows on it, and it doesn't defeat the purpose. I have a mac and I love it, but I needed something to run Auto-CAD on so i very easily installed windows on it. When i start it up i can choose which OS I run very easily. Apple even has a program that will help you to install windows. My only suggestion if you do this is to get a Mac with a fairly large hard drive, and partition it according to which OS you will run more, i.e. more gb in one format than the other.
