Meriden has 5 fire stations (and South Meriden VFD). Station 1, in the southwest potion of the city, has Engine 1, a 2002 E-One Cyclone, Engine 101 (RSV), a 1989 Spartan/Quality and Car 3, a 2007 Ford Expedition. Station 2,in downtown, has Engine 2, a 2000 Spartan, Truck 1, a 1999 E-One Cyclone 100 ft ladder truck, Tac 1, a Freightliner/Mickey Rescue Truck, and Truck 101 (RSV), a 1987 Duplex 100 ft tower ladder truck. Station 3 (HQ) in the uptown and southeast portion of the city, has Engine 3, a 2010 Seagrave Marauder . Station 4, on the city's northside, has Engine 4, a 1998 E-One, and Engine 104 (RSV, Former E3), a 1995 E-One. Station 5, by Route 15/I91 and the eastside, has Engine 5, a 1996 E-One Cyclone, and Engine 105, a 1989 Pemfab/Ranger (with a roof turret). South Meriden VFD has Engine 10, a 1996 E-One, Engine 11, a 2001 E-One, and Rescue 14, a 2002 Ford light rescue.
