Alright, they beat me to it! Terrow has made a beautiful 4th gen Tahoe for us. I will not be continuing work on this. However, I still have other projects going on, this will not be the last you see of me for a long time. If there is one thing I have learned from this project, its you need to keep going. I have had countless times working on the model where I faced a problem, and I kind of just closed the program. Now that I am in Zmod2 and I have learned so much from this project, with it being my first 3d model, I feel I am enabled to do better work much faster. Thank you to everyone who had helped me through this! I could not have achieved this level of knowledge without everyone's assistance, and it is truly too many people to count. Happy Holidays, maybe I will announce my next plans soon!

HOLY JESUS. ITS BEAUTIFUL. Finally, what we have been needing! This will be an amazing xmas present!

Most departments in my county, which is mostly volunteer and just starting to convert to paid, run tools on a squad truck. The engines are dedicated more to fighting fire. Even though, rural nature, there aren’t many structure fires. The brushes, or squads, run on almost every call. They are the most used trucks. In my case specifically, a station in my area took an old Ram truck, and turned it to a brush truck with a slide out on the bed to store the new battery powered hurst tools. For my local station, they used to carry the air tanks used to refill SCBA on the squad truck. It’s just, cheaper, and more practical to concentrate your resources into a single unit in areas where they don’t have access to big city money where they can have dedicated companies for different functions. That’s why combination units, like the quint or rescue pumper, have become increasingly popular, most notably in smaller departments.

I don’t know about the engine but he mentioned that the Brushes will carry extrication tools as that is their main run vehicle.

Just curious, is there a way to delay the entry of off-map vehicles? For example, if you needed to call a county rescue or HAZMAT, then could you have them delay before spawning to simulate them traveling to the map, wouldn’t be long of course, maybe 30 seconds, or less. Maybe this could be done with vehicles called via a characters command menu. Thought it could be a cool idea because of the fact that the area is rural.

List of needed refreshment vehicles.

Yes these are really cool. Being an NYC native I mess around with Brooklyn a lot and have added a few vehicles, I plan on adding way more than necessary just for the hell of it. Besides that, these could be used in fictional mods too. As you mentioned, NYPD Traffic also runs a 2018 Camry! -
Anytime, mod is looking good!

This is some really good advice, I for one am purchase zm2, I find that zm3 is not quite suited for the EM4/911 FR deal. As I wished I learned a while back. Itchboy, while you do make TONS of models for us. I in no way meant for you to exclusively or mostly do any of this work lol. Your contributions to the community are already beyond what any of us could have asked for, and I believe it’s time for more of us to step up and get involved, as I have seen going on lately. Also, I can’t wait for the new, sweet, sweet, Camry lol. Maybe a Jeep Gladiator too, oooohhh, that’s an idea for me now. -

Hey man, of course modeling is an acquired skill, and I am learning too! Credit issues are always something that can be fixed as long as both sides work together, as you have said you would. Keep on keeping on, your mod looks really promising so far! -

Oh, that’s actually a really good idea, I’m sure that method would be really useful for like the newer explorer. Thank you! -
Woah, this is cool. Looking foward to it! Might I make a suggestion? Change the color of "Coroner" to black would make it more readable and still stick with the color scheme.

Here I have a list of vehicles I think the community needs in order to "refresh" the current state of 3d models in our mods. Currently, most models that are in mods are around the 2013-14 model year, thats the newest we have... The work Good and CFD are doing with the LA Mod upgrade is absolutely amazing, and that will be a huge breath of fresh air for the mod and the community. This list is mostly of civilian/police vehicles, because those are the ones that actually come in model years. Fire trucks are weird in terms of that. On another note, I feel that this list could be a good starting point for anyone wanting to get into modeling. These are things I think we really need and would make new mods feel new! The vehicles are separated through manufacturer and then sub-divided to model year. For example, the 2016 FE and 2017 FE are 3-Dimension-ally the same. So I marked them (16-17) but there were changed made to the look in 2018, and 2019/2020, so they are "different" vehicles per say. NOTE: So, running up to 2019-2020 years, these vehicles are not even available to the public yet. So putting them into realistic mods, might not be the best idea, as we do not know what departments are going to run these vehicles. I know some departments (Namely the NYPD) are currently testing the new 2020 Police Responder Hybrid. Now fictional mods should be fine, but its just a reminder, maybe these vehicles could wait a little while. Also, there are slight differences between the 2020 FE Civ, and the 2020 FPIU. In terms of side trim and front bumber, so It would be unrealistic to use a 2020 FE Civ for a department vehicle over the 2020 FPIU, unmarked is a different story, but it is something to keep in mind. Okay, finally, the list. I am not TELLING anyone to make these, I think its just an idea for what would be cool. Conclusion: I know there are flaws with this list, but I think it is a good outline of things that would give new life to mods. I strongly encourage people to buy up zmod 2, or blender, and learn to 3d model. I myself am learning to 3d Model and it is bringing me great joy. Thanks to all who have been making and releasing all of the awesome content lately! Updated as of: 05/03/2020

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here! Thankful for the awesome community here. Enjoy this update of the Tahoe, front end finished. Needs touching up bit it is good for now. Happy Holidays to all!

Ah, so just cheat it out and make it un-noticeable from the top? I'll try it. My apologies, I will go around and delete the old topics.

So I am working on my 4th Gen Tahoe and I am in a little bit of a predicament. I am currently filling in the grill portion, but as you can see in the photo, the polys of the grill and bumper, do not line up with those of the hood. A mistake I made a while back not thinking ahead. I could just re-do the hood, making more polys, but that would also mean I'd have to re-do the roof, (adding lots more polys to the total model count) a lot of work I feel can be avoided, I just do not know how. Anyone able to help?

Front Bumper: Check. Nothing big, but some progress.

Looks cool, a lot of potential, and would be something unique and fresh!
-
This is going to be awesome!

Update: Sorry for the lack of progress, my zmod license expired, and school had been busy as always. Do not worry, I am still very eager to finish the project, I am having some paypal issues but once I resolve this, the train will start moving again!

Same thing happens to me. "Alright I am gonna do 1, 2, and 3." *Ends up doing only #1" It happens. Keep it up though. -
Thank you very much Itchboy. You have played a humongous role in getting me to where I am. Without all of the support and answers you have given me, this would not be at the level it is. So again, thank you!!!

Out of nowhere with a map development update??? Absolutely amazing, keep it up, mod looks promising. Is there any way you could update the photos of vehicles from when the topic was first started? They are no longer available and many of us would like to see them now that the mod is kind up coming back to light. -
Made lots of revisions, I am really liking the results. Working on front end tonight. Sorry for being behind schedule, school has been a hassle.
