  2. The NYPD is currently being re-worked there should be an equal between NYPD and FDNY no favor either way. There is two precincts in game, one which is more up town east which is more like the garage, where all the units spawn, the other is where all the units can park, in lower west. I haven't yet but do hope to pick a precinct number and have all the units numbers referring to it Hope that answers your question Dyson x P.S. Pretty much the same from me, I still haven't learn to model (although I am thinking of asking Rafael to throw me some tips ) but I guess my main skill is photoshop, I just used it at school one day (not in a lesson, they just had it on the network) I picked it up real fast and soon all my IT class wanted to know how I could make posters and magazine mock ups so well, so I ended up teaching the rest of my class too :') But yeah all self learnt, including the actual modding parts aswell. I'd just recommend you keep practicing, and soon it all fits into place
  4. haha thanks man I really do hope mine and rafael's partnership can become something even bigger and better and as for Americanism, I think I'm a bit too shy to be an American ;D I think I'd make a good Canadian though but I do hope to someday live and work in the U.S. so i guess I'm just brushing up on the culture haha anyway back to topic, lighting and a few extra models/bug fixing is up next
  5. That's because the LCPD is based off the NYPD, exactly the same uniforms, except the badges haha I'm English too it means Autumn, although commonly it's just used to describe the back end of the year, so between now and the end of 2011 we expect to be ready

  8. We'vegot big news that is going to pump you guys up even more, but I'm not gonna say until we're 100% but anyway a weekly progress update.. We now have around 30 new buildings, and all but about 4 units we want to use in the game complete. After extensive internal testing all we have found NO CTD or fatal errors, however there is one major issue (doesn't affect gameplay but is a pain in the arse) which I've been ratling my brain to figure out the cause. But other than that there isabout 2 or 3 very minor issues which we're also looking at options to replace. So yeah any Q's just ask Dyson x

  10. I need to emphasize that the release date is an ETA, it could run into winter, who knows. There's not gonna be anything until a pre-release video, so yeah

  12. Probably not, have you deleted the entire game folder and then just re-installed the game?
  13. As in for when it spawns? If so you need to edit the firestation scripts to allow the Paramedics to spawn. You also need to edit the unit.xml to allow the paramedic to be on board the rig

  23. As rafael put it just to add ... The NYC mod (MikeyPI) is very different in gameplay, it also (of current) has no improved freeplay. This mod is also targeted at Manhattan, using units specific to the area, a map specififc to the area, landmarks, firehouses, trucks etc.. whereas the NYC mod is a general overview of the entire of NYC. I'd say this is more like the original NY mod, minus the complex scripts
