      Just like Brandweer_Rilland says but I also can recommend you to see the Red Light district at night time :)

  2. No, for the amount of GUI and scripting, it simply isn't worth it unless you have amnesia and forget instantly where you've dispatched units. It's only really useful in MP.
  3. The grid iron illusion my friend, I'm unsure as to how big this will feel because of its more rural environment, could go either way, but will be a nice change of scenery wanted a map to get out of the city for a while x

If you're willing to sit down and individually skin each guy, add him to the lists of persons, add them to the unit.xml file of each truck you want to have individual FF, then create an SCBA version of each character (and a non-turnout in my case) then edit the change clothes command to incorperate all of these new SCBA and FF/EMTs... then yeah it's totally possible That's what I did

The High Definition aspect only refers to the quality of the mod, so far we've only been working on the HD version, making the mod best we can, then we'll test etc and after release reduce lights, models, units, skin quality, remove imported GTA stuff etc. We've done a few tests and 90% of the people lucky enough to get their hands on a pre-release beta have had no CTD issue, just the small minority experiencing issues, like I said we put this down to graphics card mainly, but also specs. But yeah come release, we don't wanna hear a wall of 'I got CTD' it will be sorted for you guys, you'll just need to wait a little while longer. Anyway yeah, progress is not 90% focused on the map now, adding as much detail as we can to improve the ambience, after playing v2 beta, v1 does seem very outdated and far less enjoyable to play, hopefully you'll see from some map previews coming soon Anyway as always any Q's hit me up (not pm though) Dyson x
  6. Highrise pack? What? And yes if playing MP both members would be required to have the same edition, however both editions can be simultaneously installed so members wishing to play with SD can easily switch down to it.
  7. Important Release information relevant to Version 2 Ok guys, just like to say we haven't forgot about the issues from v1. We've put a lot of time into researching the issues restricting some users from experiencing our work, we believe we have narrowed the users down to specific graphics cards, notably Intel Graphics Cards, we're looking for more feedback from the community as to this theory. There doesn't seem to be any way round this issue, so here is our best solution. We will be releasing 2 version of the modification - Version 2.0.0 (High Definition Edition) - This version will feature the mod in its full entirety with HD skins, detailed models and the use of imported buildings from GTA. Version 2.0.0 (Standard Definition Edition) - This version will feature a reduced unit selection, lower quality skins, lower quality models and only em4 buildings on map. This is all in an attempt to allow users of all PC spec to play our mod, this is the best possible remedy I can come up with, I hope the community will be understanding and appreciative. The SD version will be released a few months after the HD release. Both release dates have not and will not be announced until development is complete.   10. This is uptown man we've done all the sightseeing now, we're off to the residential areas, bit of change, still Manhattan though and all the wonders of the big apple, just more chilled out.
  11. Nope it seems unnecessary, so not included. The map is to scale, but the buildings are just generic besides firehouses of course
  12. No special houses no, the map is to scale as much as possible, S18 and Rescue 1 are far out of the map's scale
  13. Both units are from lower Manhattan, we're focusing on Upper East Side, not Hells Kitchen, so R1 will be called from off map.

No updates to report, loads of new stuff added, but nothing we're ready to share The map is still the main focus at the moment, feel free to post pictures of areas around up town east to inspire the map development. The next thing we'll be showing off will be the map, which is looking pretty decent so far, happy with it lot and lots of little details And yes there's lots of multi-casualty incidents, besides MVAs we also have gas explosions, bombs etc which often involve many causalities. x

  16. The best option is to optimize PC performance rather than reducing aspects of the game, the game operates at a certain level, you'd have to strip it to a very basic level to reduce it's spec demands, try running in realtime, as admin, update all drivers etc.. x

  22. Guessing you're meaning our mod? For the millionth time it wasn't rushed, in fact I'm not getting into it.. But I'd like to back up your fan that just asked and was shot down, look this is a public forum, people want to play what they see, I know exactly where you guys are up to through my regular in depth chats with CFD so I know both sides, but you have to see that from an outsider looking in its nothing more than screenshots in the editor, I've always found honesty is the best policy, but each to their own in their presentation method. Just don't be so quick to shoot guys down, it's the guys asking that are the people most interested, there's a fine line between the modders and the players, try to remember what its like for these guys This community bonding message was supplied by Dyson x
