Sorry for the slow response, I use my xbox mic from a usb controller, it works fine, we can help with stuff like that, but as for materials yeah. Open up the mod in the editor and open the materials editor, the burn time sets the length it burns for, all our buildings are assigned to 'airport escalator' (for reasons not worth explaining) Hope this helps. As for updates, we're making great progress on v3, we're happy to announce a trailer revealing more into our work later this month. We've released a trailer for each edition.. This is something I will need to adjust in a proper SD release, I'll need to place the v2 firehouses and set up the VOs as they are in v2 map, then it will all work fine x

Accidentally deleted my original map texture, so no can do I'm afraid, but v3 will have a Christmas version this time next year x

Yeah that's it, you log on, you'll be directed to a certain area to get the mod and then given a link, it's only as simple as logging on here to get a link. Our reasons as I have stated above have been repeated far too much, so yeah that's our policy on v3, if it's too much effort for people to go to, it's no harm to us, after all this is a non-profit mod, we don't have to be public about it. x

Version 3 is still being released as MERU only.. Essentially its like us saying, you have to go to a certain website to get the mod, we're not making it private, we're making it more of a hassle to get, so people that actually want it will get it, those that will download, play for 2 seconds and then criticize every aspect of the mod, wont go through the effort. Sup to you guys, all you have to do is log on to our TeamSpeak one time and you'll get linked up, we've spent the best part of a year working, I think logging on to a server is the least we could ask in return... Ok guys, it's about time to start promoting our latest venture in Version 3, we've kinda just sat back and worked and not made any effort to get any hype, so now we're probably at the stage where we have a little to show. Pride of Midtown was revealed over our facebook group, on here today I'm showing a sneak peak into Rescue 1. Thoughts/feedback is welcomed on both revealed houses, it'd be nice to get some discussion going again, Q&A is welcome, but make it sensible, we would have told you guys if we'd cracked something like limited water haha. x

Thanks! We're hoping to just get in a reasonable position, a lot of people who also mod (friends of mine) have never heard of games like this, I think it'd do a lot to make it more wideknown, as other games have after getting mods in the top 100 x

Ok guys more news, Besides development going great and us having traffic flowing through midtown and the ability to move around the map with relative ease and the version now playable, We've also finally cracked the Standard Definition release, we're gonna need to test it on low spec PCs, but we're hoping that w00ds map, with a few edits to make it compatible with our parking set up and scripts, should work. Hopefully the few that can't play will be able to enjoy our work on w00ds map, I know it sucks you wont have our custom Manhattan maps, but it's the best we can push for That's about all we want to share for now, we'll be showing off midtown soon in a pre-release announce trailer which will fully show off what we've been doing for the last 6 months, we hope you'll be impressed. Anyway g'day. x

Hmm I own GTA 4 for PC too, I bought it because I wanted to play the game, the mods too. However if you're buying just for the mods then it gets boring fast. The mods are really cool, but with constant random crashes due to one script or another, or just getting bored of sitting in a cruiser going to the same calls over and over. But it is mega cool, I'd just say buy it for the game and have the mods as an extra that's what I did, I had GTA 4 on Xbox, but bought EFLC for PC, that way I can still play 2 story lines to keep me interested as well as playing all kinds of crazy mods. Btw make sure your PC can handle it too, I bought a new PC just to play games like GTA etc Just my opinion x

Haha it's one of mine too, think it's everyone's. Well you'll be pleased to know L10 has been re-done for v3, high quality skin and a better model. It's also set up as the acting ladder to replace L4 on big calls, so you'll see quite a bit of it across both maps x

We're thinking around 5, but yeah this all hangs on research and development into this tool, we're working with mindcore, so depends how well his tool works out for us But yeah current concept would be - Times Square (Midtown R1 E65 on map) - Duane St (E7 L1 B1) - World Trade Centre (E10 L10) plus possibly one or two more maps too. x

You'll have to download the mod, then take out parts you want, but I don't think you understand how technical it'll be to get the ladder functioning in your own mod, but sure go for it. x

I'm looking into editing w00d's map to make it MM compatible, but this is still subject to testing with people on low spec Yes, we have the rule - anyone can use anything, so long as they credit the team and it isn't being used in another NY mod (that will require our express permission haha) The ladder will be complex to add to a new mod however, as it is 2 seperate models (installed and normal) and a script to make it work, so beware, unless you're 100% on mods/scrips etc we recommend avoiding tower ladders News update Now I have some of my Uni work out of the way, I'm resuming full work on v3, the map is beginning to take shape, the unit reskins are done and we'll be working on some model improvements, light improvements and other stuff. We're still searching for a lighter who can keep up with our heavy work load, so any enquiries about that should PM me. We'll begin to show off some new screens once the map is full, there's still a few patches of untextured ground. Here's the full info on the new version. New units - E65 E34 E5 E6 E10 L10 E3 E40 E23 H1 + more to be announced Units from previous version making a second appearance - R1 S18 E54 L2 L4 B9 The map - the map is a 1:1 scale replica (similar to v2) of Times Square, Midtown Manhattan. There will be 3 on map firehouses - Engine 65 house, Pride of Midtown and Rescue 1 PD will be centred around the Times Square booth. EMS will respond onto, and off map same as v2. We may, also be featuring a new feature which allows the user to switch between several different maps prior to startup, if this feature proves successful we will create several different maps, all from different areas of Manhattan, and allow the user to choose which area they wish to play. This will include a precinct simulation, where the only calls will automatically be set to PD/EMS only and will feature no FD at all, except maybe the odd uncontrollable rig passing through in traffic. We are also shortlisting Duane St and Ten House in this list of houses, these houses will be central in map and will be the only on map units, creating a 'simulation' concept rather than the traditional gameplay in the standard Times Square map. All the above is subject to experimentation and time, but is something we'll definitely be looking into. Probably only civil, but yeah progress on the map is on hold whilst I finish up my NYC projects. Upon completion and a break in my studies will the map be finished, I'm considering starting over afresh as my techniques have improved and I think I can do better x

I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure you can increase the gun power in the em4.cfg, have a look round see what you can see
