I understand what you're both saying, but the fact is, if you remove the map like we've done the mod works for intel users, delete all the vehicles and still crashed for them. But yeah I've wanted to reduce the size for some time, I think the main issues are the details, image size and UV mapping. With the mapping using around 6 or 7 different textures unnecessarily rather than one or two this quickly adds up. I'm hoping to address these issues in future patches.

If you experience missing textures lower your settings and it will just turn white, its to do with your PCs render quality

Hmm, but you could run the beta? Try reinstalling, and restarting your PC, a lot of people said restarting and updating drivers fixed CTDs

just download google chrome, far superior browser, a lot easier than me having to re-upload 2gbs of files

Yeah this version is a beta so it's not super smooth yet still working on things but glad its a good sub for people who cant play the normal version

I originally tried to make a script that would close off avenues at the press of a button, but it failed, just put a highway patrol car at the source and block traffic, allow 2 minutes for the traffic already on the ave to clear and then you have a clear operational area with no traffic issues.

Most of the bugs are being seen to anyway, but in terms of ideas yeah the precinct was one I thought would be asked for. As for the HD map, thats a no go I'm affraid, it would just be terrible, every building in em4 is square and generic, when you're in times square with some of the most iconic buildings in the world, on strangely shaped roads it'd just look dreadful, a map may well be made, but it will be some time for that, map making is 70% of the overall task @Lime, yeah you both crash around the same time, but most people don't, if I had everyone saying at exactly 45 minutes they crashed then it'd be an issue I'd need to fix, but so far I've only had you two, most people are reporting playing for hours.

A policestation may be added, there isn't one in Times Square thats why there wan't originally, the L21 bug is fixed. But the 45 min crash, you say it as if its an issue with the mod, its more than likely related to your individual game, I've had people telling me about 5 hour games, so there's nothing to fix there on our end.

Ok thanks guys someone had told me they didn't. What would you guys like to see in the patch then? I want to make the SD version as fun as the real version, but without the map its tricky, so post some ideas and I'll see what I can do. Limited water is a no go.

Hey guys an update. First off thanks for taking part in the feedback poll, this has confirmed that the majority can actually run this mod. We see the issue now is crashing throughout gameplay. I've been speaking to a lot of gamers and I've narrowed it down to a few new commands which sometimes kick to desktop, besides that they're just random crashes that you can get with any mod, especially one as intensive as this. FIrst up the leave/return commands. There's a bug where if you press other commands whilst the Engines are leaving or returning this can cause the script to flip out and throw you to desktop. I'm working on a few ways to stop users being able to click anything whilst the commands are in affect, but there's a way you can avoid some crashes. I plan to fix these issues in the patch and also re-include the quicker parking method without the blocking. Another one is the search house, this is hoppahs script, I've found sending more than 3 people at a time can make people get stuck and certain buildings can crash the game. So again for now these are just what I've found, letting you all know. This will be looked at in the patch too. Regarding traffic and peds, I strongly recommend you send PD units well in advance to block roads at their source before sending Fire, or even just sending all the units you'll need straight to scene, because ones traffic builds its a real bitch, but will always sort itself out again once you let it go, avoid having more than one avenue congested, thats when it get really crazy. If you're not happy with the vehicle/ped ammount, that's one thing thats not going to change as it's a fine balance between realism and gameplay. I'd direct you to the SD version which has very small amount of traffic All the other little things that have been mentioned like not being able to call excess tow trucks etc will also be sorted in the next patch, but this month is a very busy time for me so please do give me time to do so Some people have asked me why 'FDNY/EMS only' is set as not available, and some dont see it as not available, well stick to all calls for now the other game mode is not yet set up so will be more buggy and untested Thanks for all the kind words, it's wonderful to see so many people enjoying a mod that I've put so much into! We do appreciate the feedback, but you realise that FDNY/EMS only is listed as currently 'unavailable' so all the feedback you posted was moot anyway. But the MP we are looking into, the SD version is fully MP compatible if you stil lwant MP but for now its just SP x

From what I've seen in it it's relatively simple to follow, but mission scripts are so alien to me I'm struggling to extract a command script to work from, this has well and truly stumped me. I need to learn more about missionscripts before even approaching this I think x

Glad it worked! Yeah a patch will be released fixing a few bugs, this version was created in a day so its not as tidy as the main v3 (hence beta haha) but yeah thanks. If the crash is random then there's nothing we can do about it other than offer you the SD version which is now available

Nope it's the map we have another SD version out that intel users can play, its essentially the same minus the big map
