  1. I just removed the push action for attach hose 3 and it sorted it out I prefer that guy to act as a pump monitor for realism Awesome work

  3. Haha, how peculiar? Whats up with your supply monitor? Mine works great although I'm not using the deck gun Edit, having some issues trying to stop the 4th guy hooking up again after he adds the supply line. Any help would be appreciated, I'm guessing it's something to do with child 3 of the attatch firehose script, but I'm dumbfounded haha
  4. My current position - absolutely everything works great, not using the deck gun at all, just deactivated it. The water supply works a treat. However my only bug is rapid deploy. The 4 guys get out, 3 hook up just fine, the 4th gets the hose, hooks it up fine, then gets the second hose, however he cant attatch, and has no attatch command. Now personally Ithink I'd prefer him to just stay and monitor pump pressure so I may edit it myself, but just a heads up in case anyone else was having this issue me too Awesome work Hop, this is another great addition to the world of Em4
  5. There's a few different places you can place the the text to display. In the infobar, above the dispatch menu, probably a few others. It's a simple line like Game: Display text blah blah, just look up some scripts that have done it. Then add your line of text to the fp_freplay script loadup and it'll display
  6. Yeah most of the logic used was borrowed from a few scripts combined, I believe its possible to acheive (although its not something that interests me). You'd just need to edit the script to allow a hydrant or vehicle to be used as the original hook up and then the same logic will be used to attach to the second rig. However getting this script to accept limited water is a whole heap of sh*t I'd avoid. The question is: is the effort worth the reward?
  7. Doesn't crash on me either. I've got it set up and working in the Manhattan Mod, however the script only recognises the deck gun as an outsource and wont recognise the hydrant hookup as an intake.. The mod runs on the same system as the LA mod, and as far as I'm aware pretty much the same hydrant connect system.

  9. Its not a script, just three houses have the ability of roof access, it's a lot of work to create these houses so there's only 3 available.
  10. Surely with it being L.A they'd be daft not to include S.W.A.T (or some GTA equivalent) as it's the home of S.W.A.T. They seem to have redone the PD units too, which leads me to think they'll likely be a lot more real to life than just a generic CV and impala. But who knows.
  11. Most of what you've said is do-able, but its a hell of a lot of scripting! I think the most easily do-able is the FF backup on the line, having a second person join a hose team could be done in a variety of ways, all equally tricky though
  12. When creating the mod I sometimes get these errors after adding something new thats big. I usually - Move the entire mod out of the mods folder, onto the desktop (move dont copy) Restart my computer Run as admin Then I'm usually fine. However if you're still having issues try the contig suggestions someone posted a few posts back, that also works well (as far as I can tell)
  13. Haha yeah, Em4s engine tells them to move away from events, so I usually stick them across the road far away, or just heard them that way with the block ped command or send peds command
  14. Thanks, I'm currently taking steps to make the gameplay more stable and easy to use. The return and leave commands are head of the list to be tinkered with to give the user more freedom and simplify the experience.
  15. The peds are split into 2 groups. You have the 'pathed peds' and the 'unpathed peds'. The peds with paths will stand still but then return to their set path after seeing an incident or whatever (more normal) However the peds without paths dont have anywhere to return to, your best bet is to arrest these guys and just move them out of the way, I knew this was an issue and thats why 95% of the on map population has paths, to reduce this problem as much as possible. As for traffic, as I've told people before, it takes some getting used to, we've been playing this mod since early developments. Our suggestions are to block traffic where it spawns. I.e. if it's 8th Avenue all the traffic starts at the south of the map going upwards, grab a traffic unit and send them to this point, set them up to block all traffic before setting up on scene. Give it about 20 seconds (perhaps stage somewhere else in the meantime) then once the avenue is empty you can set up. If you find yourself using perhaps only 2 lanes, open up the rest. Another note, is that any traffic bugs, (with any mod usually) 2 cars will get stuck, the tow trucks have been edited to pick up non exploded vehicles, so just drive down and pick the vehicle up. You can even usually release the vehicle after and it will either resume its original course or just delete itself. Another reason to have a few tow trucks patrolling. I know this isn't necessarily a perfect system, but until em4 runs on a better engine where AI is smart enough to drive properly, it'll have to do Hope this is of some help! Dyson x

  18. Do you have intel graphics? If so then you're stuck with the SD version, but if you dont then most people have gradually got it to work

  20. When I have time to work, I did make this beta in a day and have a lot of personal commitments coming up. It will be done as soon as possible
