Retextured both the original engines from the game and changed their ride heights, only subtle but I think it does more justice to the models
-
Yes, no GTA buildings in this map, plus it wont be anywhere near as densely packed with buildings edit: Just another random update, another screen from work on the map
-
The firehouses are just all random units so far, due to the fact noone in Miami seem to have a video camera and there's very little about the units online I'm kinda just making it semi fictional. The map is just a generic mix of all of Miami, (Beach, Strip, Ghetto) and then the units are just randomly assigned to houses in areas of the map.
-
The LA mod script creates a virtual vehicle with its own hose connectors in place of the engine (and hides the actual childs) to edit this virtual vehicle look under models/vehicles/06 objects or something, open the childs in the editor and you'll be able to move the hoses around

Haha what else am I going to do when the bars are shut and I'm home for Christmas! haha

Besides giving the rigs a new paint job I tried to add a couple, these are subject to EMC's approval though. This is Engine 20, it's not 100% accurate to the real life rig but it's near enough for my liking right now. Credit to bama for the cab model. Any feedback is as ever very much appreciated. The is still on going and house #2 is about to be added. Coming along nicely. x

Haha glad you like it man, in regards to your PM too, any building models would be very helpful! I've currently just got the default buildings, would prefer to get some miami style ones in too! Got some more vids coming tonight, just working on getting the firehouses set up at the moment, not actually any on the area I've chosen so they're all ficitonal. I'm also bringing in a 3d modeler to help bump up the unit numbers, going to get some ladder trucks in this mod too as I feel they are very much lacking in the alpha Progress is really quick so far so should be able to get an early map alpha to you by the end of the week to see what you think Dyson x Edit: Don't want to seem like I'm spamming with updates but a few more developments. Firehouse #1 is now set up and fully functional. Here's how it currently looks (NYC model is only temp until actual house is built) Also I've replaced the slightly odd looking wheels on the Engines, going to eventually get round to some 3d edits on them too and tex edits. And here's just a shot from a test game I was running, brief brush fire down on the beach, Miami-Dade units responded and then off map assistance from the Miami City FD.

Final update before I turn in, currently reworking the MDFR personnel.
-
Nope this is miami beach, if you look at the mini map in the video you can see how the map will look
-
Here's the video too, my plan is basically to take EMC-Unit's mod and add in a few features I feel it's lacking (from both my own mods and LA etc) add a new map and make it capture the city like we hop the Manhattan Mod captured NYC. Whether this is released as an updated version or as a submod is completely up to the creators. So far features include - Firestations (LA) Hospital (LA) Patrol (LA) Limited Water (Hoppah/Me) Enter House (Hoppah) Speed Controls New Map (Me) Some retextures (Me) Various Objects e.g. American Hydrants (Manhattan Mod) + More Feedback appreciated, also I'm looking for 3D modellers to assist if available, so get in touch.

No I simply wasn't happy with the map so restarted to make it more Miami like and just generally better. Gonna take a coupla months to finish, around 10% finished. It's already functional, but only a small area is finished, working my way across the map adding details and paths and texture etc. Got a video coming soon too.

Nice! Never been a fan of the grey windows though I'd stick with the blue like you did with the noose

There's alternate mirrors on post #1

The injured person bug is something I've heard a few examples of but not consistently enough to be able to do anything about it, frankly it's just random no idea why haha. The hose bug annoys me too, again it's just em4 tripping up over the connect to hydrant script, I've been trying to stop it occurring but no luck yet. But thanks for the feedback, if that's the caliber of bugs in the new version I'm very happy that's it's getting far more stable That's something I've been trying to do, because each FF is a different guy rather than being just generic guys it won't work I'm afraid. But yeah the standard man count for an FDNY engine or ladder is 6, (5 in rare cases) so yeah it's obviously tailored to realism Thanks again guys, I'm off for a Roast Turkey, have a good one! x

There seems to be some random bugs that aren't persistent, but thanks for the heads up, let us know if it happens frequently. But yeah guys let us know what you think of the new 3.0.4 update, but for now from both me and Raf Merry Christmas and have fun with the new version! Also if you want to help promote our mod we've got some promo posters that we're trying to get around the web and even in some NYC firehouses so sharing with anyone interested would be much appreciated! Dyson x

Still the christmas edition yeah, just a little smoother than 3.0.3

Sorry to double post - v3.0.4 (Not Compatible with v3.0.3) Please read the Install guide included before installing, it is a must read. Fixes numerous bugs and may fix problems people had crashing. Thanks https://mega.co.nz/#!RwVQSR4K!HENKvBA4C6ifRIsn5ql1XTEqOXg3OejZ-py4DpKuiJo x

To all those still having issues with v3.0.3, but not with 3.0.2. Due to demand I've spent the evening looking into the problem, I believe I have fixed, or at least fixed some, of the issues people were having. Due to this requiring an alternate patch I've decided to include some other bug fixes and small tweaks. So - v3.0.4 will be available later today/early tomorrow. This version will require v3.0.2 and not v3.0.3 (if you have v3.0.3 simply delete the entire mod and revert to v3.0.2). Sorry that this seems rather confusing and unprofessional, but I'd prefer a smoother running game at the expense of putting out another patch so soon than to simply just leave it. Thanks for your understanding any comments/questions welcome. Dyson x

The graphics seem a lot better and the gameplay both put em4 to shame, recycling the same old system game after game. This is something new. However the lack of physics collision on the units just makes the game feel like a cheap PC game than a realistic sim. Seeing units drive through each other is a massive let down to an otherwise pretty promising game. But that's just my opinion. Hopefully games like this will make the Emergency series up their standards for future releases. x

No problem, thanks to Ethan for providing the mirror. Also guys anyone getting some good gameplay get some vids up in time for Christmas! My fraps isn't working so 3rd party videos will be used to promote this version! x

http://hobbeshost.com/manhattan/ here's some alternative mirrors

The SD version is going to be revisited, but for now try downloading the latest HD version and deleting the mod:Maps/freeplay.e4m and see if you can run the game. This will force em4 back to the original non NYC map and may solve issues, although it wont be anywhere near as fun x

Yes it has, the update was sent out today to a few testers just to be safe so there's no blaring bugs been missed, as soon as I hear back it'll be up on here too.

Nope, wayyyyy to many people and things to try and fit into the map, this is simply just a Christmas edition. It will e the most up to date version until around February when we change back to the standard no-snow and post more updates.
