  1. haha edit the swat commands in the editor and add 'get m4a1' in fact there's even another topic about it But still anyone any ideas?? And the scripts are simple they're all found in the scripts folder its just trying to find the right line to edit.
  2. Yer, well my thinking is that you could edit the MP5 script (I've changed it so they use M4A1's anyway) and change the icon from the 'aim' cursor and change the scripting etc.
  3. haha sweet well if it works perhaps we could go a step further and try to get something like the chase command where SWAT will clear out the building and arrest people automatically, I suppose this depends on your luck with the script haha.

  5. It turns out the converter I used was infact the same one so it still won't load in, I've attached my proposed new skin see if you can get it to work, it's still a JPEG but I've saved it as .dds but it's still not working
  6. That is literally what I have done bar the fact that I've used a different converter, but I'll retry using that one. It's just, walk me through how to add an edited .dds file back into the game, I have packed it placed it back in the folder, still nothing.

Right I'm sort of following, well I had no internet all yesterday so had a mess around, I've got the lapd_impala.dds and I first unlocked it in the editor, then I couldn't open it with photoshop so I converted it into a standard Bitmap, then I edited the skin, saved it and put it back into the my programs folder, then went into the editor and packed the file again, in the editor the model was unchanged and didn't even appear in game, so where from now?
  8. Right, I'm trying to unlock the .dds file I've managed it now but still can't save it for use in the game, I've packed the file etc but still no luck

OMG I actually knew this is what I had to do (unlocking the .dds file instead of the .v3o) but i had been going about it wrong, I had manually changed a .dds into a .v3o file thinking thats what I had to do, anyway I'll have a try now, thanks guy's EDIT: No back to square one nothing can parse the file once I've unlocked it.
  10. Well I did struggle to follow the instructions someone posted in another forum, but i believe so, I 'unpacked'the .v3o files?

    I think I've done it! To add the gun to whatever car you wish, Open the scripts folder, find LAM4A1 or whatever its called, You'll see this...   14. hi, I used to own a copy of this game and could open DDS files, later i uninstalled it and reinstalled it, the photoshop plugin won't open 'parse' the .dds files (CS3) I have re-downloaded the plug-in several times with no luck, I've also downloaded several converter's and even Infraview which is so highly regarded, all with no luck? Does anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate to get modding again but just can't.
  15. If you haven't already fixed it I had the same issue, just open the different freeplay mapes in the editor, when you find w00d's maps just save the file over writing the other two.

  20. Thanks I appreciate the help but I had a play around in the editor last night and was on the right track after all, just need to add the doors, and still what about the FBI agent? Edit: I have added all of the doors wheels etc to the model but theyre all over the place, how do you move them up to the car, they all seem to be below the car?
  21. I already feel pretty stupid asking this, but how would you go about adding this to the game, all the other prototypes or whatever's are all e4p files? Also where can/can you get that FBI agent in white pictured in the first post?

  23. I was wondering, whenever I breach a building with SWAT i have to stop crouch aim then fire. I was wondering if there was anyway to alter the scripting so the SWAT units fire whilst standing and fire like the regular police officers (with the pistol) by clicking fire and they shoot the suspect until he is injured? Is any of this possible?

    haha someone should do an Iraq mod, like replace the patrol car with a Hummvee and replace events with like IED's and such, that would be sick
