Just awesome! The new map looks great and I can't wait to see some of the new units in the new tech video. -
Sixteen Tons Entertainment introduces new Community Manager
TacticalRooster22 replied to Stan's topic in News & Announcement
True, haha. I didn't even buy that game to be honest. @Turk_SeSo, I believe I can speak for the whole community here by telling you to give EM4 a shot and seeing what mods like the Manhattan and LA Mods bring to the game, as the developers of these mods have implemented many new features into the game that developers should be aware of in case you want to incorporate these features into future EM4 games. -
Oh yes, some old muscle cars never hurt haha. Some of those would be nice...
-
Yeah I agree. I try to get the most use out of the units on the map before I call in more, but if I need more I only call in the ones I need.

I love those disco balls lol. I was taught that exact same thing when I got my CPR certification.

[WIP] Manhattan Modification [The Upper East Side] *New Video*

If anything, just lower the overall graphics settings. You said you have them on high, try putting them to medium. Regardless, you'll always get a bit of lag when there's a lot of units, but it won't be as bad if you turn the graphics to medium. -
Nice units, but I am starting to wonder...will it be enough? I know you said about mutual aid and stuff, but still...Usually a rural department has AT LEAST an engine, tanker, and brush. Still, we'll probably be able to get away with it on a small map like this. If worst comes to worst, put one station with the engine and ambulance and maybe a second with a brush and tanker.

Over here, pretty much ANY police car has a spotlight. I always wondered why, if the option is stealth, do you put that on an unmarked car? That's a dead giveaway, and the blacked-out rims and 5 antennas on the roof don't hide the car too well either. Like what Miercolini said about what the NYPD is doing with some of their unmarked cars--that's what we need to do here in my opinion. If the object of an unmarked car is to have it blend in with regular traffic, why not make it just a regular car? I always find something that's a dead giveaway on unmarked cars...

I love the animations on the Ford! Pretty detailed with all the hydraulics...I'm impressed. -
Ravenna, Ohio Submod-WIP

I like the idea of sort of an area for truck parking. A lot of industrial areas by my town have just random open lots where truck drivers can leave trailers for awhile.- 1,018 replies

Those are some nice incidents! I like that new tower from the taxi accident, it looks pretty sweet. I'm liking the progress so far! -

An American civil car pack? Nice! That's a first... -

Yeah the old one just looked too "cartooney" in my opinion. The new one looks nice and so does that reserve engine script. It will be cool to have the ability to switch out the engines, and I'm sure I'll find myself screwing around with that a lot haha. -
I agree, even that small section of map looks pretty good! I've always wanted to play a mod with a little more country feel, since I live pretty close to a lot of farms haha. It will make things interesting.

That's the map texture I was hoping to see. Really, that makes the game look 100 times better in my opinion. The new texture looks great, and so does that new call. I'm excited to see what interesting calls you've put in the game... -
Wow I really like those new models! Maybe those will get me back into the LA Mod if they're released lol.

TacticalRooster22 replied to rafaelmfernandez's topic in Mods
Wow, I'm stoked for the release now! After just seeing those new models and reading everything you posted, I can't wait. I gotta say though, I thought for sure that I'd find a download link in that post somewhere, that was a good joke... But honestly, everything looks sweet and the Manhattan mod runs pretty smooth on my computer (which isn't too great by any means...), so I can't wait to see how smooth this one will play. -
Yeah that looks really cool! And yeah CFDDIVE11, I would also guess that the calls will be different depending on the type of shift.

Sounds great! Hopefully I'll be able to run the mod even faster now, which will be pretty nice. I'll be looking forward to the news. -

The new smoke looks awesome, and I'm liking the amount of realism on fire scenes with the ventilation and stuff. Everything looks pretty sweet. If I have one negative comment, I would just say that some of the map textures aren't doing it for me...I don't know what it is, but some of the streets and stuff look kinda plain or something. Still, the amount of new gameplay features will outweigh that. -
[WIP] Manhattan Modification [The Upper East Side] *New Video*
TacticalRooster22 replied to Dyson's topic in Mods
It only happens with certain ones. That's happened to me a few times with some of the bigger buildings, but I just deal with it, considering that some of my fires burn for a half hour. -

Wow I remember those days haha, with the hectic traffic and stuff. Shows how far progress has come, but would you still happen to have those old versions? It would be fun to play them... -

But a huge NY map with dynamic fires is even better lol!
