  1. Probably a Bell 212. They're based on the famous Huey, yes. That's the kind of thing you only see in the movies, the daring last minute rescue. What a rush that must have been for the rescuer, being pulled off the boat just as it went down! Nice flying by the pilot there, takes some skills to put that rescuer on that boat without a winch.
  2. I see now how what I've said can be confusing You do what erfd said, that is the optimal amount per 30 sec set.
  3. is relaxing with a glass of Yellow tail Shiraz. Those aussies know their red wine :)

    1. Unit 42

      Unit 42

Your sig is HILARIOUS! haha Nice use of words!

  4. Looks good guys! Looking forward to trying it out I'll see about getting an English translation up once the game comes out, I've helped translate the Winterberg mod, so I've got a little experience.
  5. Well yeah, the ones named TLF or GTLF are tankers. The GTLF is much larger than the TLF. Still, the tanks don't last long. Normally there's a hydrant not too far away, that you can connect a TLF to, then connect another engine to the TLF. This is the way you have to do it in forest fires for example.
  6. Well then I see two things that could be wrong: 1. He's too far from the fire, you have to move him closer 2. You have several engines connected to the same hydrant, either directly or via an engine. The hydrant can only supply a certain amount of water. For major incidents you need more then one hydrant for supply,
  7. Exactly. Once the time runs out, you start over on a new set. If you finish your set before the time runs out, wait for it to run out.
  8. 3 breaths, 6 compressions, 1 shock, 1 dose of epi, every 30 secs, or as many of them as you can fit in before the counter reaches 00. Once you're at 1x00 the total points are summed up and the game decides if the person is reanimated or dead. The higher the point score, the more likely it is that the person will be successfully reanimated. The number before the x indicates the block you're on, the latter two how long you have left of that block.
  9. No no, 3 breaths, 6 compressions, 1 shock, 1 dose of epi or atropine. That is one block. You repeat that until the time runs out. You can see what block you are on in the lower left corner.
  10. 3 or 4 breaths, then 6 or 8 compressions. I just click it like crazy until the counter in the lower left hand side of the screen says 8 after HDM..somthing. The time between presses doesn't matter, as long as they're registered. Thena shock and a dose of Suprarenal (Epinephrine), and Cordarex or Atropine depending on if its V-fib or asystole, and which block I'm on. You shouldn't use suprarenal/suprarenin/epinephrine for longer than the first 3 blocks. After that you should switch to atropine. This is because epi raises the blood pressure in addition to the heart rate, while atropine doesn't affect the blood pressure. Too much epi, and you risk over doing it, giving the patient a stroke. Which kind of goes against what you're trying to do EDIT: Added some more info.
  11. Hah, yeah, you barely have time for the 3 breaths and 6 compressions, and then you have to throw in a defib and administer some meds 4:8 breaths and compressions work as well, but I'm not sure if it's better. Revived someone with that yesterday, but got a pretty low points sum (the more points, the more likely the person will survive). One thing I do, is to send the doctor with the ambulance on calls where he has already been alerted. If the beeper shows "RTW, NEF" he has been alerted already, and will show up outside the hospital. By just holding back the ambulance a little, and sending him with that instead of the NEF, I think you save some time on scene. To compensate for the loss of the NEF driver as a helper on the scene, you can bring one of the others in the ambulance, it can fit 4 See the "Download" section of this forum, and check under Small Mods for Emergency 4. I think the patch and full game should be there. I've never had to call for fire or police, not sure what funktion they serve.
  12. Yeah I have Social Club and all that crap as well. I have the original game too, or I wouldn't ask for help here My problem is (according to the Rockstar forums) the Visual Basics packages, or some other package that I can't remember but installed. Net frameworks or something I think. Anyway, I installed everything I needed, tried with every version (tried starting the game after applying each patch), but to no avail. Seculauncher just won't work.
  13. 1. You use it when there is a risk that the patient has injured his/her neck. For example traffic accidents or falls from height. 2. From the Starters manual: "For a successful resuscitation you will need to do more besides giving compressions and breaths. You will need to intubate, defibrillate and give medicines to get the heart started again. According to the guidelines for CPR a special protocol must be followed. In game we try to bring back the sinus rhythm in blocks of 30 seconds, within these blocks a number of treatments needs to be given. The more these ‘treatment blocks’ are successfully completed, the higher the chance of a successful for reanimation is. But even with the best possible treatment not every patient can be rescued. The ratio between compressions and breaths should be 1:2. A block of 30 seconds in game represents 5 minutes in real time. In one block you should give 3 breaths, 6 compressions, 1 defibrillation and 1 injection of Suprarenal. In case of ventricle fibrillation (V-fib) a one time injection of Cordarex in the second block is also very helpful. In case of an asystole you should give atropine after the third suprarenal injection." 3. First you have to call him using 5 on the radio (then find him in the list in the lower left corner I think). You then have to click on the map where you want him to drive. Once he arrives, I think you might have to get him out of the car, the normal way you get people out of cars in Emergency. Then while having the person with the stretcher with the body on it selected, simply click on the funeral director. You have to fill out the same form as you do in the hospital.
  14. Hmm, gotta give this game a try. When it came out, I didn't have a decent computer. Now, however, I do! Though I can't say I'm a huge fan of RTS games. I'm more the turn based strategy, real time battles type of guy, like the Total War series.
  15. I have Win7, and I update it all the time, so. Tried getting it to work again a while back. The only thing I accomplished was to break avast! Antivirus. I didn't notice, so I was without working AV for quite some time I aparently deleted som Visual Basics packages it needed when trying to find the VB package GTA IV needed. Bah. This game has been portet extremely poorly. Aitor, how did you get it to work in the end?
  16. You don't open it, you use it in the same menu as you find the chest compressions option. Look for the button with the picture of a spine/neck on it. That's the only thing in the case.
  17. Well yeah, but when you want to bring it from the ambulance to the victim, it's the long blue case.
  18. Remember that if the victim has been involved in a car accident, or other incident that may have caused neck injuries, you need to imobilize the neck before transport to ambulance. You find it in the blue case.
  19. Am I the only one unable to connect to the irc chat?

    1. Grim

      Grim

Me too. I think it will get better

Ah, so it isn't my client then. I've had so much trouble with it lately. Took ages to get on MSN today, and it won't connect to ICQ -_- Yay for Pidgin :P

      Nice, thanks Francis, that worked.

  20. You mean the life bar? The orange one means the patients heart has stopped, and he needs to be shocked back to life Once it runs out, the patient is dead. Once it's filled up the patients heart is beating again, and the bar turns red. Only the emergency doctor can revive a patient (the ones found under menu 4). Normal ambulance personnel can not do this. If you hold down left shift when sending an ambulance, you automaticly send a doctor as well. Hope that helps!
  21. Wow, that looks awesome! Might want to add the vehicle type in addition to the radio name though. I know that 11/33/1 is a DLK, the 33 means DLK I believe, but that's about it
  22. Sounds like this could be an interesting mod but...shouldn't this be in the [EN] Mods section? And please, for the love of grammar, Stop Using Capital Letters At The Beginning Of Every Word! Read this please.
  23. There is a special function for that. Find the button in the Fire Department menu that says somthing like "Local formation". Don't remember exactly what it says, but it's something with local. Click that until the Hazmat symbol comes up, and the tooltip reads somthing like "Call Hazmat formation". Ones that's there, just click on the map. You'll get some vehicles from the Winterberg station, and the DEKON-P, which can rig up a decon tent. The GW-Mess van from Winterberg is really just for various measuring gear, extra Hazmat suits and extra SCBA-gear.
  24. The Coast Guard version is called Jayhawk, not Blackhawk
  25. Wait wait wait, this picture is CLEARLY Photoshopped. It's supposed to be a Police car outside the donut place, not an ambulance >_>
