Send the HLF from the Winterberg department. I think you hold down right shift to send just that one, hold down and click on the map as normal. Then using the vehicle commander (guy with red vest), you select the "Command group to rescue people with the jaws of life", and select an area close to the car(s). If you want the game in English, download the Winterberg Configurator found here. You just open that, and click on the british flag.

What other games do play or have you played on your computer?
Mr_Kaizer replied to Hoppah's topic in Other Games
In my opinion you should wait with SH5 until Ubisoft releases a patch that takes away the DRM. As it is now you have to be connected to the Ubisoft server to play, and alot of people are having problems with that. The games just stops as you're playing because it's lost the connection with Ubisoft, and you have to save and restart the damn thing first. -
And we have a winner! Didn't think it would be THAT easy

It might be. I'm translating the new Winterberg FAQ, but I can't remember reading about people in the water. What sort of event was it? Suicide attempt in water?
-
Nope. Look at the loge on the side, that is the city coat of arms. Here is Dresdens coat of arms.

Thanks Out of curiosity, where on that radio site was that written? I couldn't find anything other then Monroe Joint anywhere. So, here is the new challange. I'm not sure how readable the writing around the logo is. I can just make it out, but then again I know what it says I want to know which city this ladder truck belongs to, make and model, and radio name if you can find that. German emergency service vehicles are identified on the radio by the name of the organization (Florian for fire), the name of the city the brigade is based in (for example Magdeburg), two digits identifying the area or station (for example 01), two digits referring to the type of vehicle (i.e. 33 for a ladder), and two digits referring to which one it is (i.e. 01 for the first vehicle of its type. So "Florian Magdeburg 01-33-01" would describe the first ladder of station 1, operated by the Fire Department of the city of Magdeburg. Now for the hints: This vehicle is operated by a professional full time fire department (Berufsfeuerwehr), in a larger German city (one of the top 60, capital of a German federal state), it's still in active service but only as a reserve ladder.

Hahaha, I've never gotten that! xD Is that a diver you have in the water? Couldn't he pick him up?

It's been very close almost every damn time now Bah, I give up.

Seems like they're making a new Shogun I prefer Rome, and Medieval 2. I broke my Rome game though, when I got Barbarian invasion. The patch that comes with it breaks the Rome AI, makes them very passive and incapable of launching invasions by sea. I think just patching it up a few versions would solve it, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet I'll do it when I get the urge to play Rome again.

I found out, you were right. A Rettungshilfer is EMT-B trained, and doesn't normaly work on rescue ambulances (RTW), just the transport ambulances (KTW). A Rettungssaniteter is EMT-I trained, and can work as crew on the RTW, or as crew chief on the KTW. A Rettungsassistent is EMT-P (Paramedic) trained, and works on the RTW as crew or crew chief, or as driver of the NEF, the doctors car. For further reading, go here.

Monroe Joint Fire Rescue Company?

I've got it, but can't for the life of me get it to work. I'm getting the "seculauncher failed to start application. 2000". I've tried every fix, deleting all the C++ things and installing only the recommended one, downloading the proper NET Framwork package, tried every patch version, even took the liberty of cracking the game. I figured I had the right to do that with a legal copy that won't work no matter what I do. But not even that solved it. It worked just fine on my old XP rig. Guess I have to set up a XP virtual machine or something -_-

I'm a huge fan of the Total War series. Only one I don't have is Medieval: Total War, the expansion for Shogun and the expansion to Empire: Total War. I also love the Silent Hunter series. I have 3 and 4 on my computer. Ubisoft screwed up with the DRM for SH5, so I haven't gotten that yet. Yay for companies driving legal owners of their games to download cracks to make the game playable! I have that problem with GTA: IV as well. For the life of me I can't get Securlauncher or whatever it's called to work. I've tried every fix out there (there were some problems with Visual Basic and NET Framework, but I tried everything). It worked fine on my old XP rig. Too bad really, I wanted to try out the LCPD: First Response mod, where you play as the police. Anywho, I really don't play games for very long I loose interest and find a new one. Then I pick it up a few months later. -
Monroe Lakeside Fire and Rescue Company, Inc Happy now? Wikipedia Some other site

Ah, well there is something like that for the Winterberg Mod, you have to edit some files though. However it's very limited. You take the button which in the regular mod is used to turn the snow on and off, under menu 5 I think, and "link" a specific incident/scenario to it in stead. You can trigger it when you want, but you can only have one type of event "linked", if you want to change it you have to edit the files. At least I think that's how it is.

Ok, Mombasha Fire Company then? Same city and state.
-
Ah, I see. Don't all vehicles have that system, or? I'm just curious, I'm not trying to critizise your mod in any way
-
Looks nice, I'm looking forward to trying out this mod One question about the radio statuses though. I thought the point of the whole system was for the vehicles to be able to report their status without having to speak, so not to tie up the radio? So verbally reporting status would kind of defeat that. I thought they just hit "1" on the radio, and the dispatcher would see them as Frei auf Funk on his FMS board. EDIT: Typo

I must say I like what you've done so far. Haven't played any historic mods before, only know about the DDR mod. A question though, will you have scripts, or are you just making new models + skins? And some russian voice actors would be great >_> Anyway, like it regardless

Flashover and exploding vehicles are the greatest risks. Just keep your units clear of any parked vehicles, and don't park your units right next to the burning house I rarely use the police to block off streets, unless we're talking about huge incidents where I need space for alot of units. It's a matter of taste I guess, I just don't find the hassle worth it. If people are going to get injured in the fire, that usually happens long before any of my units arrive. Damn those exploding cars!
