Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems

Bad traffic paths maybe? The map was updated. -
Don't forget Hoppah's gold.

So how do you setup your fleet on game start?
billyfromhill replied to heyjoojoo's topic in Los Angeles Mod
FS1 - TF, 2 RAs, USAR, BCT FS2 - AE, RA, SQ Patrol - 3 LAPD patrol units Police station - One empty LAPD helicopter Hospital - Fire 2 with one PM stretcher team, one LASD patrol unit for security I think the LASD patrol units have the same commands as the LAPD patrol units. -

The problem is that the "callhelicopter" script is still referencing the old helicopter. I think a simple prototype change would fix it but i'm not certain. -

No, it doesn't replace the heli. The prototypes, models, and skins are all still there. It does get removed ingame though. It looks like some scripts need to be modified, probably just a prototype change. -
How do I configure my game to play with HD (720p)?
billyfromhill replied to heyjoojoo's topic in General Talk
You can change the resolution of the game manually. Go to the directory where your game is installed and open the file called em4.cfg. Open it in notepad or something. Next, hit ctrl-f to bring up the search box. Type r_xres and hit enter. It should take you to an entry called <var name="r_xres" value="xxxx" /> right after it should be an entry called <var name="r_yres" value="xxxx" />. Change the numbers in the quotes to your screen's native resolution. Make sure you save the cfg file when your done. For example, for a resolution of 1280x720 you would put 1280 as the xres value and 720 as the yres value. -
Thats what I already do. I just though Hoppah could release both formats to make it easier for certain people.
-
That was the problem, thanks Hoppah. Have you ever considered releasing patches in zip format (in addition to exe) for people who know what they are doing to manually install it?
-
Hey Hoppah, I "installed" the AUS and the new patch to my desktop so I could manually install the new helicopters and patch. I got the all three new helicopters to show up ingame, but the LASD and CHP helicopters don't have any rotors. The LAPD one is just fine however. I took a clean installation of 2.0.2 and installed the AUS to it, and all three helicopters work fine. What files did I miss that would prevent the rotors from showing up? I have all the model and skin files, the prototype files, and the unit files in the correct places. I also edited all the XML files to get them ingame. Both the CHP and LASD helicopters do not have rotors in the editor or ingame. What did I miss?

This was unexpected. Thanks Hoppah.

Only the "violent hooligans" throw firebombs, "unauthorized demonstrators" do not. -
What school do you attend and/or plan to attend?
billyfromhill replied to Ami89E1234's topic in [EN] Off Topic
I've considered going there as well for emergency management. They're a little expensive though. -
These are the newest RAs LAFD has in service. They're 2008 models and they took delivery of 35 of them. The white over red paint scheme isn't in use anymore. Sometime in the next year LAFD is getting 41 new rescues. I think the white over red BLS RA ingame should be removed and a RA resembling the one in the photo should be added. It doesn't really matter which one is ALS or BLS. It might make it easier to people if the new RA was BLS (like the one in the pic below) and the current ALS RA stays as it is. Either way, the white over red RA should be removed since all the RAs in that paint scheme are reserves.
-
LAFD has 35 of the 2008 RAs. All of these 2008 RAs replaced 2003 models. The 2003 models went into reserve LA City council recently approved the purchase of 41 new RAs. So that'll be 76 new RAs since the 2008-2009 budget. I think its time we delegated the white over red BLS RA to reserve status and replaced it with a new model. The current ALS RA can become the BLS RA.

I don't think that's an easter egg. Hoppah just used the FBI skin and didn't bother making another one.
-
You mean the CALTRANS van? It doesn't have a siren because it's not an emergency vehicle.
-
This is important. See if you can contact Hoppah with this information.

Helljumper51 made a model of a KME engine. You might want to contact him and see if you two can callborate. http://forum.emergen...26entry156226

I agree. They don't look anything like the LACoFD KME engines, and those look pretty good. I think the roll up doors do it.

Here's some new photos of the new LAFD engines from KME.

Project "Reality Lights" is a joke as far as realism is concerned. A realistic lighting submod would be unique seeing as there isn't one yet. -

It would be really cool if you did make them as realistic as possible. The original LA mod lights are somewhat close but nowhere near perfect. -

Are these lights based on the real lighting setup of LA emergency vehicles? -
Actually there's 30, 20 original missions plus the 10 LA missions.
