I think this is how it will work (I could be wrong though). You send a "callable" vehicle somewhere on the map. When it gets there you press the "standby" command. The vehicle then goes into standby. Its just sitting there until, A) you tell it to do something else (move, exit passengers etc. etc.), or B) you call it from a Battalion Chief, EMS supervisor, or police officer. It is different in the way that the vehicles are "callable" wherever they might be on the map, if you have activated standby on them. They don't have to be on patrol or parked at a station. @ Hoppah, is there any way to have the RAs returning from the hospital to a station callable? I know MikesPhotos said somewhere that the RAs are put back in service once they drop off the patient, restock the medical supplies and decon the ambulance.

I was thinking more along the lines of a mission. Let's say I have my RA arriving at the scene. I use the EMS captain to send them when I need them. Is it not possible to add the command to the end of the move script or have you just not chosen to do it?
-
Great!!! So, will I have to put the vehicles in standby by clicking a command or will they automaticly go into standby? If not, you could incorporate the standby command into the end of the move script. I'm curious to know why the unarmored State Department limo has a Dutch flag. Aren't we supposedly in LA? If you changed the VIP mission general to the Dutch prime minister/president (don't know what you call him) that would be a different story. P.S. All we need now is a Cadillac Escalade.

How to add equipment to vehicles and remove freeplay events?
billyfromhill replied to a topic in Modding Related Support
Can't you just edit the XML file for the vehicle? The equipment is all listed in there. -
Does LAPD have any pickup trucks?

Did you patch 1.7? Off-topic. w00t, 500 posts!!!

Nice screens. I see you are using w00d's map.

How do you play Company of Heroes with a 1.1 GHz processor? And I thought my processor wasn't fast enough.
-
Well, I'm running a large monitor so I think that's contributing to the lag. The LA mod is really the only game that lags for me. I play Battlestations Midway and Company of Heroes and both of those are lag free at medium settings at 1440x900. It seems that 1.7 freeplay lags less then 1.6. I don't know if it's the "desert" daylight gradient you changed or what. My Specs: 2.66 GHz Pentium 4 GeForce 8500 GT 512MB 2 GB of RAM

I guess you could rename one of the other maps to whatever the MP map is named. All the players would have to do this though.
-
First off, either your system clock is off or the report is old. Second, your processor seems a little slow. I use a 2.66 GHz Pentium 4 and the game is slow for me. You might want to also think about upgrading your video card. I run a 8500 GT and the LA mod lags for me. Your memory could use an upgrade as well. I use 2 GB and the game is laggy. If you can afford it I might buy a new computer.

Upload your DxDiag file. Go to start menu->run, type in dxdiag, save it, and upload it here using the attachment system.

Damn, thats around eleven out here in Ohio. I'm never on that late.

The screenshots work. What doesen't work is the link to the picture(s) of the real vehicle.

It was like that since day one.

So for game purposes, the heavy rescue would carry the chainsaw, jaws of life, fire extingusher, axe, flare, safety cone, and EMT bag.
-
I was thinking of something along the lines of the crane in the below photo. As for carrying extrication equipment, does the heavy rescue carry the jaws of life or what?
-
If you use the LA mod. The regular game will still be in German. I suppose you could copy all of the language files from 911FR to EM4.
-
What you would need to do is copy the supervisor videos from 911FR to EM4 Deluxe. They are located somewhere in the "Lang" folder. I believe you will also have to change a certain value from "de" to "en". If your using the LA mod I think it will all be in English.
-
You should paint it in the same color scheme as the pontoon bridge vehicle, or just a dark green. I'm sure the National Guard uses cranes.
-
You really think LAFD calls out the heavy rescue everytime they need a tow? One option might be to have to heavy rescue able to tow, but the "go to HQ" command be removed when it is towing something.

What equipment is carried on Heavy Rescue 56?
