[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems
billyfromhill replied to Hoppah's topic in Los Angeles Mod
Me too. I "installed" the patch to my desktop to see what files were included/changed and there was no new map file. Also, neither the USCG boat or the LAFD boat can use the eastern boat launching spot. -
[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems

I'm curious to know why you decided to spawn both fire stations with full staffing? -
I understand that, so all the more reason the LEV (if nothing else) should have steady burns. And since this submod is for the Los Angeles mod, the vehicles should have the steady burns to make them realistic. EDIT: I just noticed that the LAPD Impala and the LAPD K9 vehicle have the same roof number, 108.
-
Great! Except half of the vehices don't have red steady burns (LEV, ATF MCP, ATF NRU, ATF Unmarked, and BP Tahoe), and they feel too "blinky" to me when compared to the lights on the base vehicles. Also, doesn't the USCG boat seem a little big compared to the other units? Overall it's excellent though.

Download CPU-Z. It'll tell you everything you'll ever want to know about your CPU. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Your website doesn't work for me, all I see is a loading page. Specs in sig.

transfering the game to a different computer
billyfromhill replied to Firefighter5's topic in General Talk
You can upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit, it just requires a clean install. -
A dual core will work just fine, the problem is the CPU bottlenecks the video card. Even a mild overclock can yield a great increase in performance because the video card was being bottlenecked. A dual core with a GTX 295 will definitly bottleneck the video card and you will need to overclock it.

Well lets have them with realistic lights. Steady burns etc. etc.

Will the designated K9 handler have the option to get the dog out of the car (sort of like the bomb robot), or will the officer automatically get the dog when he exits the vehicle (like the SAR dog)? Also, the LAPD Chevy Impala in the additional units submod has the same roof number as the K9 vehicle.

My friend used to run 911 FR on an ATI X200 integrated. I guess that doesn't really count though.

Look in the freeplay start script (yes, there's one). I'm not sure if it's in the missionscript folder or the command folder but there is one.
-
You know, if a cop was really undercover he wouldn't be driving an unmarked Crown Vic with the huge-ass obvious bullbar on the front of it and a traffic advisor on the rear deck. He would drive a more regular car.

There already is a CHP Doge Charger in the mod in addition to the Crown Vic.

I'm not buying CoD MW2 because Infinity Ward is not going to have dedicated PC servers. Thousands of people have already cancelled their preorders due to that. I myself have signed an online petition asking for PC servers that has over 198,000 signatures.

See if you can get the scripts to work first, then worry about the agency and the vehicle.
-
I think there's some avalible for download in the download area.
-
I preordered back in July and my home premium upgrade came yesterday.
-
Are you sure? I'm running Vista home premium 64 bit (soon to be Windows 7 home premium 64 bit, just got the upgrade in the mail today) and 911 FR and my edited shortcuts to load the mod and the editor work just fine.

And/or a police dog.

Well in some places EMS and fire is separate but still a city service. For example, in Cleveland, Ohio, Cleveland EMS is separate from the Cleveland Division of Fire. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3257/292784...ee0888c5c_o.jpg

Definitly check out EVGA's line of P55 motherboards. They have about 3 or 4 different boards to pick from. If you register the board on their website within 90 days, they'll give you a lifetime warranty. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....eTabStoreType=1 Corsair and PC Power & Cooling make good PSUs. I personally use a PC P&C PSU and I couldn't be happier.

Take a look at this thread which gives a excellent overview of the LAFD. It's not finished yet, but what is there is very informative.

[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems
billyfromhill replied to Hoppah's topic in Los Angeles Mod
Thanks. I haven't had any problems with Vista (unlike some people) whatsoever. I hope it's the same case with windows 7. I think it's due to the fact that I built the computer so it didn't come with any extraneous crap installed. Off-topic: they just charged my W7 preorder this morning. Should be shipping soon.
