The last movie I saw was 2012. It was entertaining, but some parts seemed a little implausable.
-
I think it was an upgrade.

Hoppah, I just noticed that you don't have the large 88 on the back of the SWR truck like in the picture. This is would be one of those small things that really brings the mod to life. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikesphotos_us/3537150733/

Nice work. The divers on that boat seem to have a different skin. Have they been reskinned? Also, is that SWR truck modeled after the real truck or is it just a clone of the LEV from 1.4? Awesome job on having the different model when only one person is on the boat. It's the little stuff (such as steady burns, the "Paramedic" markings on the ALS engine, the 800 series number on the BLS RA, and the guys on the boat) that really makes the mod shine and authentic. I really like how you strive for accuracy and attention to detail. You seem to be gradually replacing the fictional units with real units. What's next, the bulldozer and its transport? An idea for 2.0. Could you change the getaway car model so it's an American car?

I have an idea for 2.0. What if you made LASD search and rescue ATVs. There would have to be a vehicle pulling a trailer to transport them and there would have to be a special SAR deputy that could get an ATV off the trailer. The ATV would function like the motorcycle in that it can't be moved when nobody is on it.

If you call around you might get a store to ship you one. I know someone who got the Houston store to ship one.

Microcenter sells the 920 for $199.99. They also sell the 860 for $229.99. My bad. I see now. You can actually buy the old Alienware cases. http://www.pacificgeek.com/product.asp?c=2...=846328&P=F

Why not create a second ALS engine reskinned with a different number that only parks at station 2?
-
The new ones use colored LED's so they don't need colored filters. The old ones use incandescent white light bulbs with a rotator so they need a color filter to acheive the desired color.

The i7 920 is actually cheaper then the 860. As for RAM, with the i7 920 supporting triple channel memory, I would think 6GB minimum would be used in a gaming rig. Since the motherboards don't support dual 16x PCIe slots, all the more reason you should use X58. On the GPU, the GTX 295 will still beat a 5970, because it's a dual GPU design. DX11 us nothing to write home about either.

I beg to differ. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...3-003-_-Product Windows 7 professional and ultimate come with what Microsoft calls "Windows XP" mode. It's basicly a built in virtualizer that allows you to run programs in Windows XP if they don't work with 7. @ xplorer. I would go with a X58 based build as opposed to a P55 based build for a gaming rig. Those i7 920s (that cost only $199.99 at Microcenter) can hit 4 GHz on air with a little voltage. Some current X58 boards will actually be able to support the 32nm CPUs when they hit in January. Also, if your going to be spending $629 on a video card, get the GTX 295 for like $50 less.

Did you get the upgrade through Microsoft or HP? I ordered and installed the free upgrade for someone and I had to to through Microsoft.

I think that's why he's failing them.

lol, I like this one where the EMS captain is giving you a funny look.

Your CPU must be downclocking because that CPU-Z validator shows it at 1.2 GHz. Load the CPU or disable all that and then validate again. And yes that fan is quiet at only 1600 RPM and 63.7 CFM. On my Corsair H50 I have a Delta running at 4000 RPM and pushing 150.33 CFM. It's loud enough to take your ears off.

LAFD divers are based on the fireboats.

Does it just sit at the desktop, does the shut down screen appear, or does the screen go black?

[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems
billyfromhill replied to Hoppah's topic in Los Angeles Mod
1.9 has had a slew of problems regarding the motor boat. I'm not sure if this could be related. -
I have the exact same issue as you, my game lags ever so slightly when a unit is selected. It's not enough to make the game unplayable, but it's enough to be noticeable. Our computers are almost identical (my specs are in my sig) except you have an even better video card than me, so it's definitely not a lack of computer performance on either of our parts. Several other people have mentioned this problem, and one person said he only noticed it since version 1.8. Since he mentioned that, I only recall noticing it since 1.8 also, but that's not to say it was there before. The only thing I can think of that could be causing it is that the daylight gradient for the freeplay maps was changed in 1.7 to give better color. Perhaps Hoppah could change it back to the original setting so we could test it on our computers and see if that indeed is the problem.

Or, if you're playing with the LA mod, use the PSG-1 to shoot the drug dealer who throws the grenade and hope he doesn't die. If he doesn't die you can move in on the other dealers with no trouble and with no fire to worry about.

The govenor, not the president.

What does the captain add?
