LA Version 3 * WIP Screens*
billyfromhill replied to Enterpriese E's topic in Submods [Not released]
Brush Patrol 28 should not have LED lighting. Brush Patrol 28 is in a pretty old rig still. -
Can someone post up screenshots of new RA51 and Foam 180?
-
Dang, some of those Fords are only a few years old. Most are no older than 5-6 years. Station 33 isn't the best place to be asking about replacement equipment since their one of the busiest stations in the County.
-
Does LA County have any Dodge patrols or are they only squads? I know USFS has at least one Dodge patrol. I would rather keep the mod realistic. I vote for the Ford. I don't think you should be putting fictional units in when there is a better alternative.
-
BF3 is the higher quality game by far.

You would have to combine the "call engine" script with the "call light force" script. It's possible but it'll take some doing. You would have to add the engine command after the light force command in the script. If you wanted to do it realisically you would have the tiller leave the station first followed by the engine and then the pump bringing up the rear. I personally think there's no need for a TF button. I also think part of the reason there is no TF button to being with is that there's no more room in the BC's equpiment panel for any more commands.

A Guide to the LAFD and assisting agencies....
billyfromhill replied to MikesPhotos's topic in Los Angeles Mod
I think LA city should have stayed with Ford and Pierce/Seagrave instead of Dodge and KME for their new engines and RAs. -
The command shoud call the tiller because the script calls the virtual object rather than the vehicle.

I never said anything about customer service. I said they support their games after release unlike Activision. Well I don't know where you're looking then. There has been a major Call of Duty release every year starting in 2003.
-
They use an engine that is based on the same engine that the original Call of Duty used. Extremely advanced technologies my ass. Frostbite 2 is way more advanced than any outdated IW 4.0 engine. The difference is that they actually support their customers instead of ignoring them. Valve is one of the best companies out there. Look how much support TF2 has gotten since it's release over three years ago. They also run Steam which gives you all sorts of excellent features for free. EA gives you free map packs and dedicated servers and an open beta for BF3. Activision? Paid map packs, "dedicated" servers that only can be bought from one company, half-assed patches, poor optimization. I don't know what you're smoking but there has been a Call of Duty title released every year since 2005 when CoD 2 came out. Hell if you want to count United Offensive you can say there has been a CoD game released every year since the first game in 2003.

I think you should stick to either a city or the wildland urban interface for the map. Jack of all trades, master of none.
-
Shame it's not on PC. I would have bought it.
-
Call of Duty has turned into a rushed game using outdated engines that comes out each year on the same day like clockwork. Activision is trying to milk the series for as much money as they can before CoD goes the way of Guitar Hero. First PC had to pay for the map packs, not they have this "elite" service. Activision would love to charge for MP (just like WoW) if they could get away with it. It's turned into one big racket out to make money. That picture up in post #6 says it all.
-
Not buying MW3. It's rumored that there will be no dedicated servers. BF3 looks way better and that's what I'll be playing come November.

Chevy potentially has a contract for 20,000 cars with LA City. Most of those cars will go to jurisdictions other than LA that are piggy-backing on the LA City contract.

Here's an excellent read about the changes effecting the LAFD due to budget cuts. It outlines the closings and reasignments of units and it also has a station directory showing both staffed and unstaffed at all the stations. The abbreviations for each unit are listed at the back of the directory. http://www.prnc.org/policefiresafety/Implementation-2011-Deploymet%20Plan.pdf

The LAPD SWAT rescue 3 vehicle has the water cannon.
-
Those tenders were for LA City, not County. The city only has two water tenders. County has a whole mish-mash of different tenders. They probably have between twenty and thirty tenders and no two are alike.
-
Which version did you download? The LA mod missions are placed after the EM4 missions in the list.
-
Are you trying to get the lights on each vehicle as realistic as possible? I ask because the BC Suburban in the "severe burn" screenshot has all sorts of side flashers that it shouldn't have.
-
Just so you know the USAR currently in the LA mod is not the same model as USAR 5. USAR 3, 5, and 88 are in the 2005 Pierces, while USAR 27, 85, and 89 are in the 1999 Pierces like the one in the mod.
-
I'm pretty sure 51s has a newer 2-door Ford squad.
-
I thought they both had foam tenders. http://www.lacountyfire.com/modules.php?name=Apparatus&stat=showApparatusdetail&apparatusunit=Foam%20127&stationNo=127
-
Doesn't 127s run as a light force? Don't forget the foam tender at 127s also.
