I went from fixing computers to fixing people because, frankly, people are nicer when your job is to help in making them work right again.

As a result, I will sometimes provide technical help.

My fee for simple questions is that I get to be a bit sarcastic in the response, as that makes me happy. This fee is doubled for questions that 30 seconds of reading could fix.

My fee for complex questions is that I probably had to learn something to answer it ... and that makes me happy.

My fee for failure to at least -try- and use proper English is open mockery, but I waive this if I know (or can reasonably infer) that the person asking is not proficient in it as a primary language.
