Happy New Year to everyone. I don't really have a message other than gratitude. Thank you for being along for the ride even if I've produced nothing as of late. Hopefully 2025 I'll release the civilian car project but I don't foresee any updates to playable vehicles. I've kind of run out of ideas. Anything that we add now (apart from helicopters) is just another variation or a vehicle which serves no purpose ingame. I'll consider my options but right now I'm thinking of a break from modding this new year. I'll come back when I have more motivation, time and ideas. I'll still keep to my promises no matter how late they come, at least.

Alright besties. We're moving again. After a long long time of wading and wallowing in a lake of indeceison, my ass has been whooped into shape and some meaningful progress has been made with the team. We finally decided on a map area! 1:1 maps are hard but composite maps are hard too. After flip flopping between a dozen different ideas since the thread began, we finally decided to create a fictionalized, scaled, representation of the northeast section of Harlem, centering around the NYPD's 25th Precinct. By finally finding an area to focus on, we've unjammed the creative block we've all been suffering by trying to focus on so much to make. Now, we have specific, clear goals for what we're including, and with that we can move forward at an accelerated pace. So, to contradict my previous statement, expect some more screenshots and overall a lot more activity on the thread.

I have very good news. The mysterious LAFD Ford Aerostar van has been found. Facebook retirees claim it is an EMS Supervisor vehicle. It shall be added to the mod. Thank you Sandra Lee.

Spend as much time as you want outside this summer, you won't miss anything from us. We're a group of incredibly busy perfectionists. We work slowly and second-guess ourselves constantly. Progress and teasers will drop throughout the summer as often as I'm reminded to try and work on something.

I don't really know what I'm doing anymore. I'm procrastinating the release of the mod, by making even more content for it. I'm trying to find motivation to actually model the remaining NPC passenger cars. In the mean time, these completed truck models will have to be settle? Have I sent these before? Maybe I did already. This is all I could come up with, in the last few months. After some consultation with GTA modders, I am happy to announce the confirmation of an Airport PD Caprice, a 1992. This is the best we can find. I am hopeful for a better picture to be found someday. Who knows what else is out there.

Surprise, It's still going! Since my last development photo I built a new computer at the start of 2022 which didn't have a drive to install the disk version of EM4 so it was only until recently I bought an external one to install it. I come back with a shot from the map which shows an electricity substation along with a construction site behind and more New York housing.

It's been a long time coming. I've wanted this for a while and I finally have the mental fortitude to actually make it. I'm looking forward to when I'm able to put the equipment and paint on this thing. It's gonna be so rad.

Hi guys, Long time no post.. Been a member now for 18 years and a month. Still try and play EM4 Deluxe, emergency 20 and the new Emergency games on IOS and steam when I have time.. This would have gotten you executed when EMP was in its prime. That being said summer is here and as a member of the mod team I plan on spending as much of it intoxicated on my deck and maybe doing some traveling, I highly suggest you do the same and don't waste your summer

Hey, just wondering since it's been a long while since anything has been posted or said, what's the status looking like? What still needs to be finished? Is there anything new? Have the creators been busy? Has this project gone dormant? There's no spite behind this message, just genuine curiosity. I've been following this project since it started and I think I speak for just about everyone when I say that I would absolutely love this mod to come out one day, this is by far the greatest modification the EM4 community has ever seen- It would be terrible to see it fall short. Hello to all! I am very excited to finally showcase a project that I have been working on for a little while. Currently, I only have some models done, at least 2 for each service so far. Without further adieu, I'll get right into it... BACKGROUND: This mod will be a 1:1 replacement of vanilla Emergency 4, it is designed to be a re-imagining of the base game if it had been based in the United States. For this reason, there is no city name, and agencies will be generically referred to as "Fire Department", "EMS", "Police" and "TEC". Just like in the base game, units are not numbered. There is the fire engine, police car, ambulance, etc. I really want to recreate that vanilla game feeling, with new assets and quality of life scripts. I plan on including basic LA mod scripts like controllable lighting and sirens, chase script, and maybe a few more. Again, I want to preserve the vanilla game aspect while brining it up to current times. This project will also serve to improve my modding skills in the hopes of me carrying out more complicated projects in the future. MAP: Keeping in touch with the base game, I plan on utilizing the vanilla deluxe map. I have a plethora of Americanized changes that I want to make to the map, but those will come in the future. Do not expect a brand new map, as that is not the point of this. THE FUTURE: With the core set of vehicles done, my next steps will be to get what I have into the game, ensure it all functions well, and then continue working on models. Once models are done, map modifications will be made and script implementation will occur, which will hopefully lead up to a release. The main part everyone wants to know about... As with other content creators, making mods for this game is not my #1 priority in life. I live a busy life, and this is a hobby for me. I do not have a release date or window, it may be a year, who knows. I still have lots to learn, but I hope you all will join me along this for this journey. EM4 has been a part of my life for probably a decade now, and I am glad to contribute to the community in any way that I can. Just please be mindful that I am busy, I play other games, do things in life outside of this, and I do this for fun. It will come out when it comes out, and for now I can give you this eye candy. I hope to excite and inspire you all, I do not know when the next updates will be, but you will surely see them here. Questions and constructive criticism are highly encouraged. I have been working on a project for a few months now off and on. I have decided to rework and fix some issues for the Boston Mod by FINN. I do plan on a release, assuming I am able to receive permissions from the proper folks. All original credits can be found in "EM4 Boston SubMod read me credits". This error comes from the LA mod. I do not know how to fix it, nor is it a priority of mine to fix it. I personally have never used the feature, so it is not on my radar. I woke up this morning and suddenly remembered I forgot to share anything I've done. oops. I'll start posting the backlog. Stating with these edits of Itchboy's Ecto-One from a few years ago. Itchboy is to be credited here for everything except the skin and the small edits. In the future, I hope to show off more content made specifically for this mod

Just do it. Realistically, what is EM-C gonna do? Gatekeeping a mod which is extremely mid (nobody dares to admit it) and so unbelievably off in basically every way imaginable is just plain insulting to everybody who lives in the Dade area. This mod is a fever dream of somebody who has no interest in accuracy and completely disregards the actual look and feel of Miami / Miami Beach. EM-C made his own weird version of Miami with this mod - How this has taken over 10 years is still absolutely beyond me. I understand the map texture itself was unchangable until I released my reverse-engineering tool, but it is so incredibly basic and inaccurate. I've talked to A LOT of people in the community over the past 12 months regarding this mod, and nearly every single person agrees (while not always publicly) that this mod is... "not as it should be". Everything about it is wrong. From the bottom of everybodies heart: showcase the edits! Downvotes just prove my point btw. Gatekeeping sucks.

Imagine a DeLorean crash in a similar style to the plane crash from Winterberg... plus you can make it a HAZMAT event!
