  1. It's been a while, but here I am again. With the support of the Essex Mod Team, some buildings in the city could be exchanged. Buildings like this make the whole thing even more authentic. I also recorded a new gameplay video: The current plan is that some bugs still have to be fixed and then maybe there will be a first version. Unfortunately still without a multiplayer. Feedback, criticism or suggestions for improvement are always welcome.

  2. UPDATE (12/29/2022): v2.5 RELEASED (forum account required for download link) Download is a text file with Mega link, copy and paste that link into your browser to download mod files! Make sure to read the included User Guide, as the mod has many new script based features you will not be familiar with using if you haven't played v2.5 yet. !!Regular Freeplay will NOT work, due to all the new scripts and features!! It will give you a blank map. Instead, go to Campaign/Missions -> Freeplay script to play freeplay. Mod Summary: The Montana Mod includes many new vehicles, personnel, structures, and equipment. It is set in an alternate history/re-visualization of the real-life ghost town of Monida Pass, in Beaverhead County, Montana. The mod provides the player with control over the first responders of an American small town and changes the look and feel of the gameplay environment to match. Itchboy has graciously lended his expertise and added multiple scripts for in-depth player control of Fire, EMS, and PD functions! Media can be found on the Download page above!

  3. That makes 2 of us. Looks like this community may have another breath in after all. I just loaded up on a few games to play and then happen to come in here and see this which is one of the projects I most hoped would one day see a release... decisions decisions.. I feel like it would have been better to start a whole new thread for v2.5 though given it seems like a complete overhaul.

  4. I have an AMC Concord model, but I could modify it into an Eagle fairly easily. I don't feel like adding that vehicle to the submod though. That doesn't mean I won't make it. I think I have an idea where I can put that. Perhaps a separate vehicle set could be made of extra or novelty vehicles.

  5. Very long time since I was last active, but I have to say this team has done one awesome job. Glad to comeback after years and still find great modding activity out there. Just an offer if you have any interest: For my own personal edit of 2.01, I added to the fire station so the brush is in its own bay and door where it parks. If you all have any interest in it for your work, I would be glad to send it to your team.

  7. I've been looking at the old private ems companies again, and I came across Crippen. It's been a long search, but I've found a decent amount of references for the company. The paint scheme reminds me of the CARE unit that is already present in the mod, which makes me think this was a design option from the company. (Which seems to be leader.) From the information I've gathered and provided by someone who worked there, they were bought by Medtrans in 1992. There are no rear photos but he did tell me that the back is just plain white and that the Crippen logo was centered on the doors while the windows at the back had the star of life on them. The unit number on the back was on the right-hand column, just above the right-hand tail lights. On the topic of private ems, I did find something that I have to ask about before it can be labeled a bug. Is paramedics being able to be loaded into the hazmat with a stretcher and oversight, or is that something that is intended? (Edit) quick addition of a large ford ambulance from goodhew. I've found a photo of a similar ambulance from CARE but I've had no luck finding other photos.

  8. The grid vehicles are the NPC cars. I am working towards replacing all the NPC cars with 70s-90s American cars.

  9. LA county had some interesting apparatus. Especially the late 70s early 80s crowns which had a wider cab than previous models, one of which was pulled from the county fire museum in 2007 to be a reserve rig for a few days during the fire season. (Edit:) Link to the post about the crown in 2007. It's pretty interesting that something considered to be a 'museum piece' was put into service to cover for modern apparatus. https://m.facebook.com/story.php/?story_fbid=10157330604790450&id=373750900449 I have another info. source for LA county if anyone needs it. This one is mainly focused on crown but it has some other rigs aswell. https://web.archive.org/web/20180317170507/http://www.crownisking.org/fdlaco.html
