  1. I might have found the answer on those beacons. Some brands offered these 4 way static rotators. The beacon that LASD uses is likely of this configuration. There could be more brands that offered these besides what is on Youtube, and I am by no means saying LASD 100% used these brands. It is worth further investigation. To achieve the CA steady burn, the front facing light was likely bypassed from the flasher cycle and directly hard wired to the 12 volt main power.

  4. I see some old faces still around. The one I recall had a different map then LA. I cant recall to many units but there was a pick up truck police vehicle as best as I recall. It was a rural map, and I believe a tanker truck was in there too. It's been awhile..so hard to say. BTW , when's the release date? (I see something never change )

  5. I've decided to go with 2 unmarked sheriff cruisers, somewhat similar to what is there in 11john's photos. I won't add more until we can have full confirmation on what they would have used. I was not able to find the specific brand or model for the weird steady burn beacon. As a result, I've decided to have a bit of compromise. The unmarked Malibu will have a steady red spotlight but with a Federal Signal Firebam on the roof for 360 degree coverage. The lighting on the Caprice is a mix of various 2000's sheriff unmarked units I've foud. On the topic of civs, I have started making edits of the existing models and turning them into new variants with new designs, for different cars:

  6. The first edition of this mod (something something Chester County?) was a rather impressive reskin of the LA mod and played fine. The second edition of this mod was an very impressive total overhaul of all the units and included a new map and new scripts, that version would play for about 20-30min and then crash to the desktop.

  7. A quick and dirty way could involve a small edit to the EmptyCar script by adding these two lines: v.EnableSpecialLights(true); v.EnableBlueLights(false);

  8. Old school USFS engine WIP. Cab by THVFD, rear is the LA mod original by Hoppah. I also thought it would be cool to bring back a highly requested rig: The LAFD Brush Humvee. About 10 years ago, there were plenty of requests to make one, and JoseOu did try however the model did not look right. This is the original Humvee model by Hoppah.

  9. Not really. That's animations, a completely different skill than child objects. I will be PMing some people and sending these over for liveries and lights. More units will be done soon enough.
