  1. I used Paint .NET. And it wasn't until after I finished the skin that I started to notice my errors. My main goal is changing the lightbar and then patching up the graphics.

  2. Truth is there are many programs out there which can let you create models.. most have pros/cons lists with them; for this game the list which can import are rather short unfort. It's basically Zmod2 or Blender which can import/export v3o. That being said, most any application which can dump to "primary" formats can with a little work be used for modeling. The only one I would suggest not even considering is sketchup, it does not convert well at all resulting in bloated un-optimized junk models. Aside from that most of the common mainstream apps, zmod1, zmod2, 3dsmax, blender all can be used with different processing to get the final product into the game. Sadly when people designed CAD software it apparently did not occur to them to standardize the things so that they are all using the same formatting for filetypes, axial alignment, automatic double-siding polygons etc... So those issues do come into play going from one program to another and must be corrected for should they present. For now you probably do best to worry about finding a program and getting comfortable with it, I would not focus too much about figuring out how to get the end-result into the game (yet) till you've gotten it down on how to model the things, and are 100% sure you're into doing modeling before worrying about how to cross the bridge into importing them. Kind of makes no sense to build the bridge before you have traffic to travel over it in my opinion. Goodluck.

  4. Currently we are working in the lighting system and on the creation of new light towers for EMERGENCY 5 and EMERGENCY 2016. The first results can be seen in the screenshot below. The light tower will be fully controllable by the player in position and rotation.

After almost 3 years of modding, Squad 55 has finally decided to release our mod to the public. This mod has been based off of the LA 2.1 mod and has had hundreds of hours of additional changes and improvements. From map texture and layout, to the addition of new units and amazing lighting, functioning hospital, "code 2" scripts, customized stations with personnel area, there have been so many changes that it really is it's own mod. We decided to release this mod to the public for several reasons. We'd like to share Harbor City with the public and people who don't have the time to join a clan. We want to show everyone what our clan has to offer. If you enjoy playing this mod in single player, we think you'll enjoy the multiplayer experience even more. Of course there is no better place to play fun, realistic, multiplayer games then with the clan that brought you the mod. Visit www.squad55.com and sign up. You'll be on your way to joining the longest running, and biggest emergency 4 clan around.
